I got this pallete as part of the birthday gifts. I've always been more into the vibrant, bold and strong colours for eyeshadows, so this was a drastic change for me. The colours are not as pastle-ish as the picture shows. In fact, there's more shimmer than I had originally expected. I like the fact that I can use neutral colours while using some splash here and there in this pallete. The packaging is very cute and it comes with a standard eyeshadow brush. It also has a huge mirror on the side which is always a plus for me. This is good for those looking to use it for work and such. Smashbox is pretty good in quality wise, but they're definitely much more expensive than MAC. All in all, I really like this palette and would recommend it as a great gift idea :)
