I don't find this works very well

I wanted to like this primer, I really did. I've read the rave reviews online, but unfortunately, never had the best results. I could never get my makeup to look even over top of the primer. It also feels like you have something on your skin, which I do not like. I felt like my skin could not breathe. Personally, the Photo Finish Primer Oil worked way better for my skin. That did help my makeup stay on better and didn't lead to smudging or shininess.

GREAT primer!

I always like trying new primers to switch things up but when I tried this one it was a little bit a good/ new change. It's a consistent primer that kept my makeup in place and looked flawless with easy application. I received this product free from the manufacturer company for testing purposes. would definitely recommend it specially for those who likes to take lots of photos to appear extra shiness!the only thing the full size is so pricy!

Love it but not for me.

I first tried this with a Smashbox sample kit and loved it. After a while it's like my skin rejected it and got oily after an hour of it and some makeup on. It's a shame because when my skin didn't react to it, it worked amazing.
It feels so smooth on the skin and very lightweight!

Not For Me!

I know the SMASHBOX PHOTO FINISH FOUNDATION PRIMER IN CLEAR is a cult favourite among beauty artists everywhere but I don't see the hype of this product. I have combination to oily skin and was so excited when I did my research and found that this product is great for all skin types!... wrong. It did not help my oily skin at all and I found that I had to blot and re apply powder much more throughout the day then I normally do. My face felt heavy and sticky and the product lasted for maybe 5 hours. It's winter time to boot so I can imagine that it would last even shorter time in hot weather.

It did help with the visibility of pores and fine lines in which the primer did help them become less visible and my makeup was really easy to apply. The primer honestly feels 'silky' which is really nice I just wish it had more lasting power and did not bring out the oils on my face. I also love the addition of vitamins A & E which is supposed to help you from stress, damage and etc.

Overall this product isn't terrible but I would not recommend it to anyone who has oily skin. For those with dry or normal skin I think it would be a game changer!

Worth the $$$

This is one of the most expensive products I have in my vanity, BUT i use it all the time, and it really does make a huge difference. I have coverage all day, and my foundation goes on a lot smoother when I use this primer. It's clear, light, and totally oil free!

Yes and no

So first off it's an odd consistency. Reminds me of MaryKays primer. Works about the same too which isn't necessarily a bad thing but considering its " Smashbox" anyway, it does leave my skin feeling smooth before applying foundation, but I don't find it last all day. Especially in this California heat.

Great primer , does exactly what it says.

I love this primer, it makes my foundation go on so smooth and lasts all day.

I work 2 jobs and one is right after the other most days so its nice to have this primer to put on in the morning before my foundation, because I know my make up will last all day and look great on top of that!

The price is a little much for the amount you get but, it does last a long time.. A little goes a long way.

Good Quality, but Not the Best

I really do like the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer in Clear, but it can be compared to drug store brands like NYX quality wise, except that it is a lot more expensive. It does provide very good hold when used before foundation, and makes your make up look flawless.

The product itself works really well. Don't get me wrong, its definitely a great primer and I loved using it. This being said though, the value just isn't there. I have found that the NYX clear primer is an almost perfect dupe for this primer but can be found at drug stores or ordered online for a third of the price. Got this once as a sample and loved it but after reading some reviews and whatnots online decided to try the NYX one instead (for the sake of the wallet) and found it hard to notice a big difference.

Would not buy again since I can get virtually the same product much cheaper

Smashbox primer is pretty good, not great but pretty good. For the price I have primer's that work better but it's certainly not bad. It just doesn't fill in my pores as good as others although it does feel great on my skin
