Nice finish!!

I love this primer. During the work week I apply this on it’s own after moisturizer. It transforms my skin to look flawless and takes away any shine. I have never been inclined to do lots of make up to go to work, so this is perfect, I find it lasts all day and gives the illusion of younger, fresher looking skin 😀

Fills in pores great!

Good primer that helps to minimize pores. It comes out of the tube as a nude colour but blends into the skin invisible. It does pill up sometimes depending of which moisturizer it is paired with so I have to be careful when using it. It is very smoothing when applied to the skin however.

Works great with certain moisturizers

This smashbox primer has a gel like clear texture to it that melts right into the skin. I've noticed I cannot use this with certain face moisturizers I am accustomed to using. You need to make sure your face has completely absorbed the moisturizer before you get to putting this primer on. I have also noticed this can cling to dry patches and takes extra effort to blend it seamlessly.
Aside from that, this primer preforms super well with basically any foundation. It makes your foundation last all day and controls any oil.
This is a higher priced, about $50CAN and it definitely belongs at Sephora.
Because of my issues with the blending I wouldn't repurchase because of this high priced point.
I would still highly recommend, especially if you have SUPER oily skin.

Best Smashbox Primer

This primer (purple - pore minimizing) is the only primer in Smashbox’s lineup that doesn’t have a silicone (to my knowledge), which is why I purchased it.

I love this primer because not only does it fill in any pores and fine lines, but the purple brightens your tone as well. Really great if you have sallow looking skin. I also find my makeup stays on longer and because this doesn’t have silicone it doesn’t cause a breakout or feel slippery mid day.

Clumped on my skin

My first reaction was that this applied really smooth and definitely 'filled' in my pores, but I did not like how it sat under my makeup. Trying to blend any makeup over top made it clump/ball up which was really unfortunate. After wearing for a whole day my makeup still ended up extremely patchy and settled into my dry spots (that I didn't even know were dry).

C'est une base parfaite pour appliquer avant maquillage. Texture douce et soyeuse, il fera tenir votre maquillage plus longtemps et vos pores seront moins apparents. J'aime beaucoup!

Love useing this primer. It's a very smooth and flawless feel when warmed up with fingers and applied. Gives my foundation a nice base for smooth skin

I love this primer! I have large pores in my T zone, and this product is the best that I've tried. It glides on like a dream, and holds up very well. Makes my foundation flawless!

i got this product as a sample and i love it! its very light weight and goes on smooth. it definitely makes a difference when i am putting on my foundation. i even use it on my eyelids and it works so good. when i run out of my sample, i definitely will purchase a full size!

When they say it minimizes pores , it sure does ! I use the tiniest bit near my nose combined with another primer and it works wonders for my skin and pores
