    Waiting to experience the magic

I purchased this foundation after watching several reviews on it that made claims that it was unstoppable- well I'm not sure if I missed something or if it's just not for my skin-type (combo, mostly dry). I used the Smashbox Photo Primer and applied it both with a Beauty blender and with a brush but didn't experience anything magical by no means. Still gonna play around with it to see if I can make it work, but this foundation is just middle-of-the-road for me.

    Not for the dry skin

I was looking for a product to put on top of my moisturizer that was hydrating because I have dry skin. While it was hydrating at first, it provided very minimal coverage and by the end of the day, it started looking really dry. Wouldn't buy again. It may be okay for some people, just not for me.

A girl at Shoppers Drug Mart was wearing this makeup and it looked flawless on her . So I purchased it with hopes that it would do the same for me . It didn't . I didn't like it at all . I have red , acne scarred skin and it just didn't cover well and looked odd on my skin . I sadly had to return it . It was 50 dollars so it was expensive .

I did not like this foundation. Let me tell you why.

I have combination/oily skin, so naturally I gravitate to foundations that are long-wearing. Though this foundation does not claim to control oil, it does claim to be "long-wearing, natural-looking, buildable medium-to-full coverage, with a hydrating formula that blurs imperfections". My first impression was that the foundation was cakey, sunk into my pores, and my natural oils began peeking through around 5-6 hours into wearing the foundation. I decided to give it a second chance and wear a primer. However, this time around, I found that the finish of the foundation seemed almost flat against my face and/or appeared to give a grey cast. I can't put my finger on it, but I don't like this foundation in comparison to my Estée Lauder's Double Wear. The coverage is decent - a near medium build. I still have to conceal dark spots and acne scars. Despite having a "hydrating formula", I found that the foundation was not the most flattering around my dry patches as a result of the winter weather.

    Coverage: Medium
    Consistency: On the thicker side
    Shades: 12
    Finish: Satin
    SPF: None

Returning this product, do not recommend. If you want to try it first, I recommend asking for a sample from a Sephora associate before committing to buying the product.

I used to love this foundation, but I first used it when it was really hot outside. Now that it's the winter and I'm going from -20 to a bus that has the heat on high all the way to college. Going from one extreme to the next has made this foundation end up looking weird and somewhat cakey on my face. I have oily skin and large pores and right around my largest pores (even though I wear a primer) it settles in and looks REALLY obvious that I'm wearing makeup.
