    I love Snapchat

Snapchat is a great way to stay connected with friends and family, by doing so in a fun way. From sending funny filters, to hilarious stickers, it is a great way to stay connected daily.

I love that you can save your snaps to the app, so you are not taking up more room on your phone, and in addition, that you can choose how long your pictures are active for.

Love this app, and especially love the fact that it is a free app that helps staying connected that much easier.

One of A Kind- Chat & Picture/Video Sharing

Snapchat is great in all aspects- you can chat, send pictures/videos, and see pictures/videos. It's tied with Instagram as my favourite phone app. I like how people can share their lives with the people they choose. I always enjoy sharing moments with family and friends, as well as feeling included in their moments if I can't get to see them all the time.

Snapchat gives great privacy to users. You can choose to send private pictures or make a public story. You can also choose who to add and who to ignore with friend adds.. Something else I like is how you can stop certain people from seeing your public story, even if you add them as a friend.

One thing to be wary of is to think before sending pictures or videos.

    Wonderful App To Share Memories

I have family all around the world and Snapchat has been so amazing to keep in touch with them. Snapchat allows you to feel like you are with your family and friends at different moments because you can see both pictures and videos of what they are doing. My cousins often post pictures and videos of food they are eating, their children, countries they are visiting. This way even though we don't live close by I feel like I get to know what is happening in their lives.

I like how you also have the option of chatting on this app. It allows for easy conversation.

With children starting to use social media young, the idea that you know if someone takes a screenshot of your picture or conversation is a huge plus.

This app is free. I would highly recommend it.

    Use it everyday!

I love snapchat, as does everyone who uses it! It is a very simple app that anyone can use! It is very convenient to show your friends what you are doing or to ask for a quick opinion on something. Snapchat does use up a lot of battery on your phone but its worth it in my opinion! :)

    Snapchat App

Snapchat is my favourite social media app. It is loads of fun, addictive and you can make some great friendships using the App:) For anyone who is not familiar with snapchat, I am including a description of the app and some of its features, I highly suggesting giving this app a try, it's loads of fun!! it is easy to learn to use snapchat, and if you ever need help they have a support section in the app and they answer questions very quickly.

"Snapchat is primarily used for creating multimedia messages referred to as "snaps"; snaps can consist of a photo or a short video, and can be edited to include philtres and effects, text captions, and drawings. A feature known as "Geofilters" was added in July 2014, which allows special graphical overlays to be available if the user is within a certain geographical location, such as a city, event, or destination. The "Lens" feature, introduced in September 2015, allows users to add real-time effects into their snaps by using face detection technology which is activated by long-pressing on a face within the viewfinder.

Snaps can be directed privately to selected contacts, or to a semi-public "Story". The private message photo snaps can be viewed for a user-specified length of time (1 to 10 seconds as determined by the sender) before they become inaccessible. Users were previously required to hold down on the screen in order to view a snap; this behaviour was removed in July 2015. The requirement to hold on the screen was intended to frustrate the ability to take screenshots of snaps; the Snapchat app doesn't prevent screenshots from being taken, but can notify the sender if it detects that it has been saved. Notwithstanding these notifications can be bypassed through either unauthorised modifications to the app or by obtaining the image through external means. One snap per-day can be replayed for free; additional replays can be purchased using microtransactions.

Friends can be added via usernames and phone contacts, using customizable "Snapcodes", or through the "Add Nearby" function, which scans for users near their location who're additionally in the Add Nearby menu. Spiegel explained that Snapchat is intended to counteract the trend of users being compelled to manage an idealised online identity of themselves, which he says has "taken all of the fun out of communicating".

In July 2016, Snapchat introduced a new, optional feature known as "Memories". Memories allows snaps and storey posts to be saved into a private storage area, where they can be viewed alongside additional photos stored on the device, as well as edited and published as snaps, storey posts, or messages. Content can be searched by date or using a local object recognition system. Snaps accessible within Memories can additionally be placed into a "My Eyes Only" area that's locked with a PIN. Snapchat has stated that the Memories feature was inspired by the practise of manually scrolling through photos on a phone to show them to others. "
