Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin Reviews
#37 in Books

Description

A hard-working attorney at a large Manhattan law firm and a diligent maid of honor to her charmed best friend Darcy, Rachel has always played by all the rules. Since grade school, she has watched Darcy shine, quietly accepting the sidekick role in their lopsided friendship. But that suddenly changes the night of her thirtieth birthday when Rachel finally confesses her feelings to Darcy's fiance, and is both horrified and thrilled to discover that he feels the same way. As the wedding date draws near, events spiral out of control, and Rachel knows she must make a choice between her heart and conscience. In so doing, she discovers that the lines between right and wrong can be blurry, endings aren't always neat, and sometimes you have to risk everything to be true to yourself.

    Sweet.

I loved this book and have passed it on to other friends! This is one of the best chick-lit books ever. The follow-up "Something Blue" was almost as good.

    Great Read

I love romance books and this one is a great read. I really like the author Emily Giffin and enjoy all her books. I loved this series and liked how each book has the characters perspectives. This was one of those books that you just wanted to keep reading.

I read the book after watching the movie (which I loved BTW), and I loved it as well :) It was really hard to root for Darcy (even though she was the one who was cheated on) mainly because she was very self-centered. I'm not an advocate for adultery, but in this case, Rachel belonged with Dex.

This will be a book that I will read over and over again :)

I really liked this book - it was light and easy to get through
The story might not have always gone the way you thought it would - and there were some surprises.
I have read the series that follows the characters and they are a good read.
