Really glad i buy this one. i used to own a ps3 but the quality of this upgrade is really visible.
Better hd image, great menu and a favorites option that make my life with a toddler really easier when he want to watch the same movie over and over.
he tend to burn a little when you play over 10 hours a day but that's about the only hick i found in this console.
I love my Playstation. I use it to watch Netflix and play games. Very easy to use. Price was pretty steep. Image looks great and they have lots of games!
We have two in our home and a major downside is that you can't game share between systems and accounts like you can with Xbox one. We first tried to log into my boyfriends account so that our children could have their games but you cannot be logged into the same account on two devices at the same time therefore were had to create accounts for each of our daughters. We then had to buy the games that they wanted since you cannot share the games between accounts and systems. Our nephews have xbox one and are able to share games with a certain number of people. We se our ps4 not only to play games, but to watch YouTube videos and Netflix. My boyfriend also uses the browser sometimes, and of course it can be used to watch DVDs.
Another big downfall is that all of the new games take up a ridiculous amount of space. In order to play a game when we buy a new one we have to delete a bunch of stuff off the system.....then if we want to play those game again we have to redowload. They should make the storage much larger, ideally add something like the cloud that games etc came be indefinitely stored on so users don't have to worry about space. It is a real piss of to have to delete things to use others, especially once you get down to only having things you use daily/weekly left to delete.
This like the PS systems before it, is reliable, great game choices and my son is on it for hours. Easy to add extras with gift cards and annual VIP cards at reasonable prices. This machine has fantastic graphics, and I expect it will last for years like the previous versions we have owned and still have PS3 as well. Only downside but understandable it is not backwards compatible with PS3 Games, but based on graphics I can see why.
Also great family fun if you can tear it away from the Kids for a bit. Thumbs UP!
My son love it! He play every day for hours! It was the perfect birthday gift.
We just upgraded from our PS3 on Boxing Day because of the sale. However the sale wasn't as much as we'd hoped like it had been for previous systems. We don't like that you can't save pictures and set a background image.
Cons:
- Not backwards compatible
- Can't set picture or save pictures for later viewing if you're surfing and want to save something for later.
- Hate the controller light. You can dim it slightly but can't turn it off. It serves no purpose other than to drain the battery faster.
- Don't like the controller sound. Even if playing through headphones, the controller still talks. At least that feature can be turned completely down.
Pros:
- System is stable & faster than previous versions.
- Suspend feature for games, movies is handy.
- Seems to finally be able to play flash.
My husband and I purchased Playstation 4 for our Grandson for Christmas he's going to be so excited on Christmas Day
My favourite system by far. Easy to navigate for myself and my kids. Picture on it is amazing.
I love my Playstations they are so multi-use and are wonderful quality. My only disappointment is that it does not use USBs, hopefully they will come out with a
