It's cute but...
It's very cute and quality seems good but this toy is WAY overpriced for a toy giraffe.
My son played with it briefly but doesn't do much then make a little noise so he was bored of it quickly.
Again cute, but not worth the price.
Not all that impressed
I received this as a baby shower gift and my son wasn't a huge fan of it. I found the legs to be awkward, I felt like when he chewed on one the other were sorta in the way. I also find it way overpriced for what it is, it didn't work for my kid so I just wasn't that impressed.
Not worth it at all
This product is an overpriced dog toy. My kids liked the shape of it (long legs and neck were easy for them to hold as infants) but it is no different than less expensive teething toys. Plus, the squeak is annoying.
Expensive but useful
I just bought Sophie for my 4 month old who just began teething. Although this giraffe is very expensive for a teething toy, we do think it worked well for when our 3 year old was teething. One thing to keep in mind is they can mold inside, so make sure you try to scrub as best you can.
I don’t get it
I don’t get why we all go crazy for Sophie. The Colors are faded, the « squiking » old and the fact that we can’t clean it properly.....don’t make it a good toy to my eyes.
Not bad
We got this for my son when he was teething. He love it, but never chewed on it. Our dog on the other hand, loved it so much he bit the ear off. My son still liked it, but I don't know how much it helped with teething.
Don't understand the hype
It is an expensive chew toy that can grow mold on the inside from drool or getting water inside. We got two at a baby shower and neither of my kids were intent on using it.
Girrafe
Sophie the Giraffe has been around for a long time. I agree that it does help when a baby is teething, but either through baby drool or cleaning, water gets in the hole. The problem is Sophie gets moldy inside the giraffe from the drool or water and it makes me feel really uncomfortable giving this to my kid. I would not recommend this baby product.
Babies love sophie
Our Sophie has been through 2 babies, both loved it. I do think she is a bit overpriced for what she is. I think $10-$12 would be more reasonable. I know people say they have problems with mold, but if you never submerge her in water that’s not a problem. I used a baby wipe to clean ours. Her color has faded a lot over time but she is still one of the favorites in the toy box.
This became a dog toy in my home
Hey is anyone looking for an overpriced dog toy? Well if you are then Sophie the giraffe is the one for you. My daughter had no interest in Sophie at all. I had luckily had experience with the rubber toys getting mold inside after water getting in them so Sophie was tossed into the trash after about 2 days of getting slobbered all over. So Sophie you are not a highly recommended baby teether.
