Not all it's chalked up to be

We got this as a gift...everyone always made such a big deal over this toy, but honestly I didn't think it was all that great. It's just a rubber giraffe and I actually thought that a lot of the surfaces were rather rough. Years ago, when I had my first daughter, my mom had found this yellow giraffe that smelled like vanilla and squeaked when you squeezed him. His neck was long so easy to hang onto and his nose was perfect for chewing...much better than this Sophie. So fast forward 20 years and of course we no longer have this other toy and after trying Sophie and being so disappointed I went on the hunt for another one like we used to have. Pleased to say I found one and it happily took the place of Sophie in our house.

Love it

I had recieved 2 sophies for both my kids. They bothloved it. So easy to bring with you and easy for their tiny hands to grab and chew or suck any where. I found myself watching the baby more than anything. Only complaint is that it's expensive

Ma fille adore Sophie, ce jouet a été le premier auquel elle s'est attaché. Il est facile à prendre dans leurs petites mains. La texture le rend facile à mâchouiller. Il a arrêté de faire du bruit assez rapidement mais pour nous ce n'est pas un point négatif.

It was great until

This was great until the mild issue. I had it for my 1st and purchased again for 2nd. Unfortunately it did not last due to the mold issue. I has to toss it and was very upset about it. My little ones enjoyed it.

Too expensive

We received one as a gift for our first child and having seen the reviews, expected big things but my kid couldn't find a good spot to chew on and we didn't use it very much.

Why so expensive?

Okay, obviously every child loves Sophie! Why the heck are they so Expensive!
Has anyone ever tried sanitizing her? Because I have and she stopped squeezing. Finally opened her up and guess what, Black MOLD. Not a fan Sophie.

My baby loves Sophie!

I got Sophie for my daughter when she was a few months old. She loves to
Bring her in the bathtub, to the park, to sleep.. pretty much anywhere she goes. It's great for teething babies and for babies that love to play. It makes a squeak toy noise that's not overwhelmingly loud. I recommend this for parents, the only downside is, it's extremely expensive so if you can find it second hand or on sale grab it.

Excellent teether!

I bought Sophie for my daughter and it definitely is a great teether. Although it is expensive, it was the perfect size for her little hands and the legs and neck were great when her molars were coming in. It definitely got its use. Just remember though, like any squeeky toy, do not get water inside otherwise you could have mold growing inside if not cleaned properly. My only hesitation to buy it again is the cost.

Expensive but a life saver!

My son LOVED Sofie and it was the only teething toy he would use! It is fairly expensive but he got a lot of use out of it so I would definitely say it was worth it. I recommend Sofie to everyone!

Fabulous teething toy!

My son received this toy as a gift. Sophie the giraffe has saved us way more than once from having a screaming child, due to teething. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
