My son was give Sophie as a Christmas gift. I thought spending that kind of money on a baby toy was ridiculous but my son absolutely loved it. I'm not sure what makes this toy different from all the others but it is definitely a favourite.

This is one of those 'must have' items that every mom feels like they need to have for their kid to be a well-rounded individual. Well...its a pretty decent toy. I am using the Sophie I got for my first son (now 3.5 years) with my second son and it has held up well and he, too, loves it. The sound is annoying, and if you have dogs, you really have to ensure they don't use it as a chew toy, because thats what it is. But way more expensive. I received this as a gift and would likely give as a gift but the price is getting out of hand (about $30 CAD). If i was to buy for myself I'd look at the cheaper options i have seen around.

I would never purchase this teether. I recieved it as a gift for my son. He did like to hold and chew on it, but then again he liked to hold and chew on anything in his hand (including his hand). Then one day I was watching him chew while sitting in his bouncy chair and he started choking on the giraffe, he had managed to shove the giraffes head and neck down his throat. Upon looking at the teether, it surprises me this doesn't happen more often as the head and neck are the perfect shape to go straight down a childs throat, the only thing stopping it being its body. So the choking hazard PLUS the ridiculously expensive price for what's basically a dog squishy toy makes it not worth buying.

I bought Sophie the Giraffe for my daughter when she was born. Although she didn't play with Sophie at first, she then started to use Sophie when she started teething. I always bring Sophie with me when we go out. It's made of good quality material and I feel comfortable with my daughter putting it in her mouth. Great toy!

I don't see what all the fuss is about this baby toy. Well its held up through three children. None of my kids paticulary liked this toy. I also find it to be outrageously priced. I'd say it is not a must have toy and if I had not gotten it as a gift I would not go out and spend the money on it.

Awesome tether for babies. It's so easy for little ones to grab, hold and pull to their mouthz my daughter just loves sophie.
I was given it as a gift...thank goodness as I wouldn't of spent $20 on it. I do feel the price is a little high for this toy.
Knowing how much she likes it, I would have to say I would buy it again if need be. But if I didn't get it as a gift, I don't think I would have purchased it as she does have other soothing tethers that she seems to enjoy more.

This is pretty expensive for what it is. Regardless My baby LOVE this toy. I'm lucky to have received this as a gift . Make sure to surface wipe and not submerge in water as i've read it can cause issues. We also have a tie on this to keep it from getting lost.

I got Sophie as a gift for my son when he was born. It was more for being nostalgic that I wanted the toy, After a few months of use (my son loved sucking and chewing on the feet) I started to notice that there were holes in it. I quickly contacted the distributor and after a few exchanges of emails and pictures they sent me a replacement within days!

The new one is stored away for another baby however we are happy with the comfort it brought my son. He refused all other "chew toys"

sophie the giraffe is so expensive but it is a baby's chewing best way to deal with toy. Easy to grasp, easy to bite into, easy to chew, helps provide relief.

Sophie the Giraffe is a great chew toy for teething babies. It is a well designed giraffe that is easy to grasp by small hands and mouths. It is also way to wash so can be reused over and over again.
