I tried both the Sweet and Salty, and Butter Popcorn flavours today. I did enjoy the taste of both -- the sweet and salty in particular.
I found the Sweet and Salty flavour to be (surprisingly) good! It takes a few bites to get used to the taste, but once you do, the flavour combo really works, and you'll wonder why you didn't try it sooner.
The butter popcorn flavour was surprisingly rich, and tasted buttery and tasty.
With that being said, I'm not entirely sold on these. I much prefer the consistency and crispness of mini rice cakes to these chips. These chips don't leave me feeling completely satiated, and really aren't "low calorie" once you snack on enough to feel satisfied. Moreover, there really isn't much in them that's of any nutritional value. In fact, the second ingredient is "vegetable oil".
If you're health conscious, I wouldn't recommend them.
I received the Special K popcorn chips, both the butter and sweet and salty flavours, to test and review for free from ChickAdvisor.
I enjoyed the sweet and salty more than the buttery. The sweet and salt was mild with neither the sweet or salt over powering each other. It is a nice light snack. I could have kept on eating. On the other hand, I thought the butter flavour was lacking in butter flavour and I was confused by the white reside expecting it to taste like cheese. To me, it tasted a bit artificial.
I would probably buy the sweet and salt for a change from my cracker chips.
This chip was nothing special. I really like Sweet & Salty popcorn but this didn't hit the mark.
I would love to try these. So far Special K products have not disappointed me. Please ignore the ratings as I haven't tried it yet.
I was very excited to try this new product from Kellogg's! I have enjoyed many of the other snacks that they offer, however, after having a few of these popcorn chips I felt like I was eating stale popcorn. I took them to work and offered them around to my fellow workers and it was the same reaction! Great at first but kinda stale and boring as we ate them.
