I use this product on a regular basis. It's a mild gel cleanser that works for me (combination skin) who has the occassional break out. I like it, by my boyfriend was over one time, leaned in near my face complained that it smelled like alcohol.

This cleanser was like any over-the-counter cleansers. However, it did have its distinctive qualities. I found the cleanser to have an awful smell; its almost nauseating. At first, I thought I purchased something expired, but it turns out all the cleansers smelled the same :S

The texture was a thick gooey paste, so it was not an effective make up remover. As a cleanser, it worked like any other. The Spectro derm version helped me clear up the dry skin, so it was effective in that sense. Although its a good product overall, the smell was too overcompensating for me to recommend it to my friend.
