This is a really nice gentle cleanser for acne prone skin. It doesn't dry out the skin but still manages to control and prevent acne. This gel doesn't lather and doesn't leave the skin feeling stripped of moisture and oils, so if you like your skin to feel squeaky clean and tight, this probably isn't for you. It also doesn't irritate the skin.
I have oily - combination skin and this cleanser works for me. This cleanser does the job, but doesn't have all the unnecessary bells and whistles. It is scent free and doesn't leave my skin feeling dry or tight after use. It isn't great at removing makeup, so I do recommend removing your makeup before cleansing. I'm not sure how effective it is at preventing blemishes as I do not get them often however, I have not broken out since using.
I have purchased this multiple times and I am always satisfied with how good it works, it can be a little on the expensive side but if you use it daily it really does clear up acne fast!
i was someone who often woke up with horrible acne and blemishes. that was until i tried spectro gel! it is easy to use and took care of my acne and my blemishes disappeared! I will definitely be using this product daily! thank you so much!
This cleanser sucks. Its marketed as a cleanser but does not clean what so ever (or to any extent that I notice).
After I use this, when I use a cotton pad with toner afterwards, a bunch of residue foundation, concealer and eyeliner can still be found on my face. This may be due to the fact that it is a gentler cleanser and probably not meant to wash off a face of makeup (but even so, I had already used makeup remover to remove a good 80% of the products on my face and this cleanser was not able to take off the remaining 20%).
I have heard many good things about Spectro so I was excited to try it, but it ended up being a big disappointment.
Will not be repurchasing.
I have acne prone skin for my entire life. I have tried everything there is. I started using Spectro about 6 months ago and finally my skin is in great shape and my breakouts are under control. I rarely get them actually. So if you have problem skin, you have to try this!!!!!!
As a woman in her mid-thirties, having oily, acne-prone skin is frustrating. This is the only cleanser I use on my face. My dermatologist recommended it. It keeps my skin clearer and doesn't dry it out.
ATTENTION SENSITIVE SKIN GIRLS!!!!!! This cleanser is for you! Paraben, SLS and Fragrance Free!!! It's also pH balanced for your skin. I started using this to help me clear up a bout of perioral dermatitis and now I use it religiously. The down side is that it doesn't remove makeup very well, so I actually use this as an after care cleanser, but make sure to follow the directions and massage into wet OR dry skin for 30 seconds before rinsing off....trust me, this makes all the difference.
I got this stuff to help my teenage daughter with her acne. It is scent free, no sulphates or dyes or parabens. It was in the bathroom one evening and I figured what the heck, let's give this cleanser a try. It says to use on dry or wet skin, it doesn't matter. Very important to massage for the full 30 seconds.. This gets everything out of my pores. I've actually put it to the test and used Bioderma on a Cotten pad after cleansing with Spectro jel and there is no trace of makeup or eyeliner or mascara. It is a slimy consistency to it which may put some people off but that doesn't bother me.. Who needs colour or perfume in face cleanser. So not healthy for the skin. So I've been using this for about two months nightly and have no acne and my skin feels great. I recommend this to anyone who wants a good cleanser that is cost effective.
This is the best face wash that I have ever used. It works very well for my combination and blemish prone skin. I have a very oily T-zone and dry cheeks. I use it once a day while I'm in the shower and it has never made me break out or do anything detrimental to my skin. I will definitely repurchase this. It wasn't too expensive for my college student budget. It was about 10$ for a small bottle, which lasts me about 4 months (using it everyday!).
