Just bought the Spigen F300W, and to be truthful, I am NOT impressed! Wonder if anyone is able to share some info (on charge times)?
Plugged mine in, using Samsung charger and Samsung usb cable. Popped my phone on (which already had 57% charge), and was advised, by my phone (Galaxy s7 Edge) that it would be 2hrs 54mins before fully charged (that's from 57%!!
Plugged the cable into my phone, and to achieve full charge with usb cable (as opposed to wireless) would be 56mins (a difference of 1hr 58mins!
Does anyone else find this?
Equates to 6% per HOUR or 2% in 20 mins!! (NOT impressed) :-(
This is my second Spigen product, and once again, I am impressed with its quality.
I obtained this with the intent of charging my phone while looking at recipes on my phone, as it is much easier to see my phone at an angle vs flat on the countertop.
Unfortunately, when I read the instructions, it advised not to have items that are magnetized, such as credit cards or debit cards, near the charging base, as the cards may be demagnetized. My phone is in a wallet type cover; therefore, I had to take my phone out of the plastic case to test it out.
So, another product is going to my Husband, who is quite happy with this charger. I will stick with a normal plug in charger for my wallet case phone.
The charger itself, as per Spigen, and multiple reviews, requires a 2amp adapter for best results – do not be surprised when there is no actual adapter included!
This charged my Husband’s Galaxy S6 a lot quicker than our normal plug in chargers. It is a lot easier to plunk the phone down on the cradle vs finding the plug port to plug in the normal charging cord, so he will be using it in the bedroom – so simple to place a phone on a cradle in the dark over fumbling or turning on the light!
Also, the fact that there is minimal wear and tear on our charging cord will definitely save us money in the future (by not purchasing new cords regularly due to fraying or normal wear and tear.
The Light on the bottom that indicates charging is a handy feature, so we know when it is finished.
I would definitely recommend this for simple charging!
Great charging product for the newer smartphones, but a downside to keep in mind is that certain brands of phone (mostly older ones, see product description for list) will need an extra chip inside to be able to charge wirelessly. However, this product works great without any add-ons for QI enabled devices such as the brand new models of smartphones as of 2015 and in the future it's probable all smartphones will have this feature included.
Nice well made, good looking device that does the job and charges your phone, stopping when it's full. I didn't find any flaws in the charging and really appreciated the ability to charge my phone wirelessly.
Unfortunately, I had to remove one star as I found the centre circle on the rubber grips was slightly bumpy on the edge, as if it had peeled up slightly and been stuck back down. A second thing to be aware of is that the 2A adapter required is not included and not everyone will have one of these in their house.
Other than that, this is great product for those looking to stay on the right side of fast moving technology and buy a device with wireless charging convenience!
