Love the colors on my hair hate the colors left on my pillow

The colors are so bright and vibrant so very beautiful I have gotten so many compliments. The only bad thing about Splat color is that the colors rub off on everything my hair touches... My pillows and blankets my clothes and every towel I use until the color is gone. If that could be fixed Splat would be the perfect product thank you Splat

Splat Hair Dye

Splat, where do I start. I absolutely love dying my hair. I’ve been doing it since I was 16, and I’m now 30 years old. I love fun colours. So of course I gave splat a try. It’s good dye, for the price. BUT, When applying it to your hair, it does stain the skin pretty badly. & I feel it’s not very much in the bottle. It also runs quiet a bit when it gets wet. (From the rain, shower, pool..etc) & if you’re like me, you’ll dread it every time it happens. It does not stay vibrant for long, and you need to re dye often.
Though it has its cons, I love it while it lasts. They do have some great colour choices. As I’ve used several. So you have many options!

I was unsure of trying a store brand box of color, but I decided to try it. I bought purple desire. Followed directions from the box and applied to hair. Washed in cold water so that I didn't lose too much dye. Dried my hair as usual and to my surprise, I loved it. It was pretty close to the box color except better. It's deep and oh it smells like grapes. There's no nasty smell! I will definitely be trying this brand out again. Suggest that you cover everything you don't want color on, as it really stains. It's very hard to get it off counters, sinks, and bath mats. Wear something you won't care if it gets stains on. I had to clean my tub with bleach as there was a slight tint leftover from my wash. Lastly if you get it on your skin, use some castille soap or just be sure to put Vaseline on face edges prior to application.

Okay but constant run off

I've bought this product a few times now mainly because of the purple hair colour and you receive both bleach and hair dye in one box..


Only downfall.. your water will be colourful in the shower the next few washes. But doesn't fade very much
