I have to admit we are a bounty house but a few years ago when one of our cats got sick and we were going through more papertowel than anyone house hold should (I should have bought stocks in papertowel, it was insane) we ran into a time when bounty was not on sale and we NEEDED papertowel. We went shopping and our choice for a cheap papertowel to get us until Bounty went on sale was no name or sponge towels, thinking sponge towels would be better than the no name paper towel we got the sponge towels. Big mistake we could not clean anything up with them, they did absorb liquids well the liquids just leak through onto your hand but at the same time it took forever to clean up any mess.
After this experience I always keep atleast one extra large pack of bounty around.
The papertowels are very average. They aren't the best ones on the market in terms of cleaning with them or picking up spills but can do lighter jobs pretty well. They are way better than some of the value brand paper towels on the market.
These paper towels are thin and do not do the job they need to do. Whether it is cleaning up a spill or picking up something, these towels are weak and not very effective. I found that they were not too absorbant and I needed multiple ones to do the job. Also when ripping one off the roll, it never ripped totally on the perferated line ! always grabbed half of another one .. or ripped of half of this one !
