I love the effect of the exfoliation on my face. It definitely helps remove dry skin. It has slowly started clearing up acne and blackheads with use approx. 4 times/week!
St Ives has always been one of my favorite brands. There are always coupons & sales for this product. The bottle last a long time and you can also use this on your feet!
I have been using this scrub for YEARS. It is the only scrub that feels like its actually getting all the dead skin off my face.It leaves my face SO soft after I use it. I will forever continue to buy this stuff.
This scrub is on the abrasive side, so probably not for daily uses. But 2-3 times a week is good enough for a deep exfoliate. Plus it's cheap!
I have used St. Ives Apricot Scrub Blemish and Blackhead Control ever since I was in elementary school. As my skin is prone to breakouts, I really appreciate that the product is oil-free and contains 2% salicylic acid. It gently cleanses pores, exfoliates your face/deep cleaning all of your blackheads and really does help stop breakouts before they occur. It is sold for around $5, which isn't a bad price considering other Clearasil brands are closer to $10.
I feel like this is a good standard face wash for acne prone skin. I don't think that it lathers very well though, and I find that problematic because I don't think it completely gets rid of the oil or dirt on my face. I prefer the green tea cleanser to this one. This one is cheaper though.
I don't feel like this does a good job of cleaning the oild and dirt from my face. I feel like this sort of moisturizes which is good, but if it doesn't do its job, I don't think it should be called a cleanser. It also doesn't quite spread, and is really quite dry. I have seen this at the dollarstore, so it can be found for quite cheap
I have used St Ives for years and love it. It is a rough scrub which I like. I feel like it is getting all the gunk off my face. I cannot use during the winter though as my skin is too dry and wind burnt from outdoors sports.
Didn't do much for acne for me, but it's a great clarifying scrub! It smelled good and it's friendly on the environment unlike the plastic beads in other scrubs.
This scrub for sure will exfoliate and remove dead skin cells but I found it to be way too abrasive to be using on your face specially on the delicate skin around your eyes. It claims to control oil and that is because it really dries out your skin due to the salicylic acid in this scrub.
This scrub irritated my skin specially around my cheekbones area and it broke me out on my forehead so I immediate stopped using it for its intended purpose. I have resorted to using this as a body scrub because the gritty apricot beads are great for exfoliating dead skin cells on arms, legs, and feet.
As a body scrub, this will work but I would not recommend this at all to use as a facial scrub. There are better scrubs on the St. Ive's line including the Green Tea Scrub which is a lot more gentle on the skin.
