I've been using this Blackhead Clearing Scrub for the past few weeks and I've fallen in love. First of all, I love St. Ives products because they're incredibly inexpensive compared to other drugstore/megastore brands. Secondly, I find them much more effective than drugstore brands. Whenever I use this scrub, my skin feels super refreshed and actually feels squeaky clean. I can tell immediately that it has removed dead skin, but as for black heads, for me, it isn't 100% effective. I have stubborn blackheads that don't budge without an extraction tool, but I think for minor blackheads or ones that appear here and there this scrub would be fantastic. In the end, I'll definitely buy this scrub again purely for its scrub claim and not for blackheads.
Works decently. It's very fine which I like as opposed to the bigger pieces in the apricot scrub. I can get in the corners of my nose and give it a good exfoliation. Good product. Would buy again.
The price was great but I found the smell a bit off putting. I really liked that it was made out of more natural products which is why I bought it. Not sure if it purchase it again. Worked well, but the smell just wasn't for me
I tried this because I couldn't find the apricot scrub I usually use thinking it would be generally the same. Unfortunately is wasn't quite the same. I did do the trick, but I didn't really enjoy the smell or formula. I do love the brand so I will continue to buy their scrub, just not this particular scent
I wasn't a fan of this face scrub. I used it all as I don't like wasting but honestly I didn't see a difference. There's better fave washes out there. I suffer from a lot of blackheads which is why I purchased it. After using it I could still see my blackheads. It had a pleasant smell but that's the only pro.
When I first tried this,I think I rubbed it in a little too hard. I have sensitive skin and my face was red and sore after using it. Next time I tried it, I used it gently on my skin and my skin was not as irritated.
I liked this one and still use it. It's a very fine exfoliant scrub that uses silica as the abrasive agent... which I believe is a natural mineral. So it's better for the environment than artificial beads. It did feel like it was scrubbing my skin in a microdermabrasion way, which was good. And it was gentle enough for my face and doesn't make me go red. It has a nice clean smell but even though it says green tea, I would say that it smells more like cucumber. And it's a green tinted product. And it has salicylic acid in it so that is what provides the blackhead clearing ability, to really dry and clean out those spots.
I used to use this with the green tea facial cleanser. I used two bottles of it, but then I decided that it hurt my skin a little bit too much to continue using it. My skin is somewhat sensitive and I found this scrub to be very abrasive. Obviously that's the point of a scrub, but I've found others that are more gentle but still effective. I would highly recommend this to people with normal skin, because once the redness went down, my skin looked great!
Weirdly as I age my skin seems to experience a level of acne most associate with youth. I have tried #StIves blackhead clearing green tea scrub to clean my face and exfoliate the dirt and debris that clogs my pores. Gently consistency. Awesome scent. Will buy again.
A very nice facial scrub. It doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, it does not strip my pores, it gets rid of blackheads quite easily. It is affordable.
