I tend not to use this product every day but its been a part of my cleansers for years now. Sometimes you need a good scrub and the little gel "exfoliators" that you see in other face scrubs just doesn't cut it. It leaves your face feeling smooth and you cant beat the scent.
While I liked this product more when the exfoliant was was finer (smaller grains) and the consistency was thicker, I still like it now. My skin always feels really nice after using it.
Ok so for the past several years I've been buying the Clinique facial scrub - not sure why but I suppose there's a part of me that thinks if I pay a litle more I'm getting a better quality. Well I've got to say for the past 2 months I've been using the St. Ives Apricot Scrub and well I have been fooled by advertising. I love the St. Ives product. Not only is the cost of this scrub less than 1/3 of the cost of what I've been shelling out in the past, it's just as effective. The particles in this scrub are small enough that they don't cause any pain or do any damange. I love the light scent and the creaminess of the product. The apricot scrub definately buffs away all the dead skin and leaves my skin very soft. I've also noticed a difference in the way my skin looks - there's a glow to it and some of the discolouration has faded away. So ladies you don't always have to pay big bucks to get great quality.
The St. Ives Apricot Scrub is a little too harsh on sensitive skin, since it does contain crushed apricot seeds or some form of rough ingredient. This caused my face to become red instantly and I needed to stop using it. However, I found it worked great as a body exfoliator. It left my skin very smooth and soft after every use. I use this 2-3 times a week in the shower and a little goes a long way. It goes on smoothly on the skin, so you don't waste chunks of product falling down the drain, like I've experienced with other exfoliators. It has a nice scent to it and it doesn't feel greasy nor does it leave a soapy film on your skin. I recommend this only to be used on your body, or on your face if you don't have sensitive skin.
This has become my everyday cleanser. I wouldn't suggest most people use it as often as I do, as everyones skin type is different. As well as exfoliating, it has reduced the occurance of my acne.
This is just one of those staples everyone (including men) should have in their weekly hygiene routine. I say weekly since it can be quite harsh on the skin. It is excellent in removing dead skin from the face; or anywhere else on the body as a matter of fact. However, unlike some other reviewers I prefer to use this product solely on the face (when oily) since the rest of my body tend to get too dried out from it. As for the rest of the body, I would recommend an oil based exfoliant. Just remember to use this product only once, maybe twice, but not more than three times a week since it can be quite harsh. Lastly, it's economic and gets the job done.
I purchased this in a bulk pack last month at my local BJ's. The price is right and it does a good job at exfoliating your skin. However the peach scent is a little over powering. I used this is the shower to exfoliate dry patches on my heels also. If scent were improved this would be perfect.
i haven't used this product for a few years but i used to really like it.
Thanks for reminding me about it!
I loved the feel of the scrubby little grains that really worked to exfoliate and revive my skin. And it smelled so good too.
This apricot scrub works great. It makes your skin feel smooth and soft after using it. When even I need an exfoliator, I buy this one because I know it works for me and it smells lovely too. But like with any exfoliator, don't scrub too hard, just gently. This product is definitely worth trying and you might even stick to it like me.
Pretty decent product, does the job of exfoliating skin does feel smoother and softer after use. Product is thick so no runny-ness can feel grainulars exfoliating skin, price is great under $5.00. Only minus is i feel some of the grains get stuck in your pores.
