I used St. Ives Fresh Skin Scrub a long time ago. I recently received a sample and gave it another try. The scent is nicer than I remember (maybe they changed the formula, it's been so long), it has a nice fresh and invigorating scent. The grains are pretty coarse but didn't seem abrasive. My skin did not look irritated after the scrub but people with sensitive skin may find it too harsh. My face looked brighter and felt softer afterwards. It's an affordable, drug store scrub. I will continue to use this scrub.
Okay, this does exfoliate really well, but the apricot pieces are not uniform, so I don't think this should be used on the face. Non-uniform physical exfoliation can leave skin damaged and lead to eventual scarring. It's a great price, and can be found virtually everywhere. I do think it can be used really well on the bottom of my feet since the skin there is more hardy and almost always needs exfoliation in harsh Canadian winters.
For the price and effectiveness, this scrub is the best. It exfoliates well without being too harsh and skin. I have combination skin that is dry but also prone to breakouts and this scrub helps keep my skin clear without drying it out.
This product is amazing!
Fantastic price, scent, and is super effective at exfoliating my face.
I use it once/twice a week only and it is wonderful.
I had a big container of this and I used to use it when I'm showering and I noticed it didn't do much for me since I didn't have that mush dead skin to scrub off then but now I feel like I should repurchase the product and give it another go because I've been having dry dead skin on my forehead.
Sadly this is too rough for my sensitive skin. Even though the base is very rich feeling, like a cold cream, the exfoliating bits are too harsh and leave my face irritated.
I really like the Apricot face scrub from St. Ives. The smell is very nice and natural and the the scrub is effective. It just feels pure compared with others that smell a bit more chemical. Also, what is nice is the price. Most of St. Ives products are very affordable.
A great all natural face scrub and a low end price. I've used this product for years on weekly basis and have never had a single issue with it. It smells amazing and does the job.
I am amazed that this is ranked 13 out of a couple hundred in Facial Scrubs. I used to use this when I was a teenager and stopped because it was way too abrasive and scratched my skin. Any acne I had actually got worse and it got inflamed. My face was red and sore. It smelled good though and it felt moisturizing to the hands, but I would use this for a hand defoliant maybe? not for my face or body.
Perfect for combination skin as I find it helps control oil build up and remove dry flakey skin at the exact same time. I have sensitive skin too, and this doesn't cause my skin to react or break out at all. This is my go to facial cleanser and I can't live without it.
