I use the blemish and blackhead formula, and I use it whenever I'm in the shower. It exfoliates so nicely, and just buffs away whatever is left on my face from that day. The smell is very apricot like, and I love it. If you think that its too rough, you're probably scrubbing too hard. That can cause redness, irritation, and very dry skin, so try gently rubbing it into your skin. I hardly breakout anymore, and this stuff can clear it up right away when I do.
I use it every day. I like the smell but some people say that it is too strong so it is bad- but i just love the smell
I love this product ! it removes all the oil from my skin. it smells great and every time i use it it makes my face look fresh and bright. I love to use this in the morning . I would recommend it to anyone i absolutely love it
I used to use St. Ives Apricot Scrub years ago when it was in an apricot coloured jar. I don't know why I got away from it, but a recent visit to Chick Advisor re-introduced me to it. At 40, I'm going through more changes in my skin....still having acne issues, but now using a prescription topical to address the changes. It has a little bit of antibiotic in it, as well as Retinol, and increases skin cell turnover. Because of this I find I'm needing an exfoliant. Problem is, I have very sensitive skin that reacts negatively to almost everything on the market.
I've now been using this scrub a couple of times a week for about a month, and my skin is very happy! It does a great job of sloughing away dead skin cells, and actually leaves my skin looking and feeling hydrated. But the best part, of course, is that it's not giving my sensitive skin grief. I'm so glad I was reminded of this fantastic scrub!
Price-wise, you can't beat this stuff. A nice sized tub of it is about $7-$8, and it happened to be on sale at Walmart when I picked it up. Such a great deal, I use it on my whole body and my skin is soft and smooth!
i am going to have to give this product low ratings because they test on animals- and thats just not cool.
I use this product and think its great- but since i found out about the animal testing I will NOT be purchasing again and looking for an animal friendly replacement.
this has possibly got to be the best product out there at such a reasonable price compaired to what other exfoliating products cost. the smell, the texture, the grains....need I say more? I use this after a nice hot shower and my face is left baby smooth. And you don't even need a lot for it to be effective.
This is an actually scrub - it truly removes dirt and oil deep down and makes your skin feel great. I don't use anything else on my face - its perfect for super sensitive skin
I have extremely allergic skin - so I have a very hard time finding products that don't make me break out in hives!
I bought this and have to say I'm in love! I give my face a good scrub 2x a week and it's never been better. It doesn't dry out my skin and removes all the dead surface skin leaving my skin looking fantastic. It smells great to boot!
I always thought this scrub was too abrasive for the face. I do like a good scrub and not those scrubs that are more ''creamy'' than exfoliating, but the St-Ives shouldn't be used more than 2-3 times a week on the face. The good part? I LOVE using it as a body scrub. It's much cheaper than Body Shop/Burt's Bees and works very well for that purpose: my skin gets so soft!
For me, I really wanted to like this as many people I know have loved it. But sadly my face had an adverse reaction to what was in it and broke out into hives all over my face. I was rather mortified by this. I was disappointed that it doesn't work with my skin but I have heard good about it.
