I have used this scrub since I was in high school (a long time!). My husband loves it as well! It is not harsh and chemically-smelling like other scrubs. It is very natural-feeling and leaves my face feeling polished yet soft and smooth. I love the fragrance--somwhat earthy and somewhat fruity but not harsh.
Love it, you can feel the little exfoliating beads doing their work. First time I used it was a little abrasive but now I can't live without it.
This is my favourite facial scrub - you can't beat the price and it leaves my skin very soft and smooth. (I buy the renewal version of the product.)
I've tried many *much* more expensive scrubs and none have worked nearly as well. I've been using it for well over 10 years now. ;)
After reading such wonderful reviews on this product, I decided to give it a try. The verdict? I was VERY disappointed.
The good things about this scrub... Well, it smells great. I love the scent. It's also very cheap, especially considering the size of it.
What I don't like about it? Gosh...where do I start? In terms of quality, this is probably the WORST facial scrub I've ever used. I think someone described it as taking sandpaper to your face and that description was dead on. I don't have sensitive skin and I can pretty much use anything under the sun and not react to it. But the first time I tried this scrub, I found the granules very large and extremely sharp. I rubbed my face as gently as I possibly can and afterwards, my cheeks still felt like they were cut. I tried using this several nights later, same result. I've tried this on my face 3-4X and I finally gave up. There are much much better scrubs out there for a very affordable price.
I strongly recommend AGAINST using this scrub everyday on the face; it's too abrasive. In fact, I probably wouldn't use it more than once a week.
So instead of throwing it away and wasting my money, I tried other CA members' advice and used it as a body scrub. I didn't find a huge improvement on the elbows and heels. However, I use it several times a week as a hand scrub. I wet my hands with warm water, use a generous amount of the scrub and rub GENTLY for about 10-15 seconds and rinse with warm water. I finish off with a great hand moisterizer and my hands always feel soft and smells great.
(I gave very low rating for Quality and Effectiveness because this is marketed as a Facial Scrub and I think it's a terrible product for the face. If this product was meant for the body/hands, I'd definitely give it a higher rating.)
I love this stuff... I use it everywhere. Elbows, chest, back, feet... anywhere I need an extra scrub. It smells nice and really does the job.
I like this scrub..but I will add that it did tend to dry out my face when I didn't appear a moisturizer immediately afterwards.
I dont have very sensitive/complex/problematic skin *touchwood* Just needed something for my daily routine. Picked this up from my mum and loves the smell and the baby soft skin I get after using it. Got one for myself, too. Fantastic and keeps you feeling all apricoty/peachy fresh :)
I found this product to work great. If you want your face feeling clean and free of dead skin as well as other things, you should use the St. Ives apricot scrub to exfoliate your face. I love this stuff.
