Face scrub
St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub is a product I initially tried with high hopes, but unfortunately, it fell short of expectations. This scrub has gained notoriety for being too harsh on the skin, and I have to agree.
The large, abrasive exfoliating particles, such as crushed walnut shells, were rough on my skin. Instead of providing a gentle exfoliation, it felt more like I was using sandpaper. This can lead to microtears in the skin and cause irritation, especially if you have sensitive or acne-prone skin.
In the world of skincare, there are much gentler and more effective exfoliation options available, such as chemical exfoliants with ingredients like glycolic acid or salicylic acid. I found these to be much kinder to my skin.
In conclusion, St. Ives Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub may not be the best choice for those looking for a gentle and effective exfoliation product. It's essential to consider the potential harshness of this scrub and opt for alternatives that are more skin-friendly and suitable for your specific needs.
Allergic Reaction
After using this product I had a horrible breakout that I attribute to an allergic reaction. Took a medical intervention to recover from this product use.
Never use this product
Its not safe to use this product, its full of chemicals and makes ur skin dry and damages too. Doctor clearly not recommended this product and must avoid it
Not crazy for this product
The ingredients in apricot scrub are not awesome and i find the exfoliant very harsh on my skin. There are better exfoliants out there, would not reccomend this.
Save your money...and your skin. Don't buy
I beg you, please don't buy this. Its so harsh and drying. After 1 use, my skin was tight, then I broke out that evening. Not for acne prone or sensitive skin. Do not recommend it to anyone really
Not recommended!
If you have oily and acne prone skin please don't use it. I had severe breakout after using this product and will not recommend it. It does clean the skin though.
Would not recommend to my enemy
Do your own research people. I know this makes your face feel nice and smooth, but nut shells are sharp, and don't breakdown with water... Causing microtears in the skin... When you hit 25 your skin naturally starts to lose collagen and elastin production.. and you'll see the damage caused by this product. Just don't do it.
Disappointed
Bought this product after it was recommended by a friend. I find it way too harsh for my sensitive skin and had to use an emollient moisturiser afterwards as it left my skin feeling really tight and dry. Won't be buying again
Bad skincare
This is what you buy and use when you don’t know any better. It’s too aggressive and your skin will suffer because of it. Maybe it’s okay for anywhere but your face but still I really wouldn’t want to bother with it. It’s not worth it. The quality isn’t here especially if you have problematic skin.
Not worthy
This product is too harsh for the skin. I used it for 2 weeks and my skin feels like paper. I have acne and bumps on my forehead, chin and cheeks. I bought this scrub to give it a try. after 4 days i broke out and my skin feels like paper. i have soft skin and the little walnut shells irritates it even more when applying and scrubbing it.
