Too harsh for my sensitive skin
Even though this product is advertised for sensitive skin, I find it too harsh and abrasive on my sensitive skin. The scent is nice and not overwhelming
This smells awful
St. Ives® Soft Skin Avocado & Honey Scrub
It’s not very often I dislike a product, but I do try to stand by the fact that I’m giving my honest opinion after trying the products out.
I didn’t like this product mainly based on the smell of it! It smells like a dirty aquarium tank! I couldn’t get past that!
I did try the product out of course, and I think if you weren’t bothered by the smell, you would find it good! Exfoliation-wise, it worked well. My skin did feel soft after using it, and it wasn’t irritated and it was surprisingly gentle on my skin. I won’t buy it again, simply because there are similar products that work as well, and smell significantly less nasty.
Sorry St.Ives, it’s a no for me!
Not enough grit
I prefer a sandier feel to my exfoliants to really feel like I am sloughing off the dead skin cells. This felt very gentle although felt moisturizing. Scene is nice and light which I appreciated. The packaging was a bit deceiving as it mentions 100% natural and then in fine print 'exfoliant'. So it seems the exfoliating bits in it are natural however the creamy base is far from that.
Would not use again
First off, I did like the smell of this product. The packaging is durable and bright, which is appealing. The product is too rough on the skin - I did not like how my skin felt after using it.
I didn’t like the smell or the texture
I received this St Ives avocado and honey scrub to try for free in exchange for my honest review and I wasn’t a huge fan. The smell was artificial and the texture was too coarse for my personal taste. The positive for me is that it is accessibly priced but I likely would not buy this again.
Sweet Smells and Rough Scrubs
St. Ives® Soft Skin Avocado & Honey Scrub is a popular choice for those seeking a scrub with a delicious scent. The blend of avocado and honey creates a sweet fragrance that can make the exfoliation experience more enjoyable. However, the exfoliant may be too rough and harsh for some skin types. I found that it could cause micro-tears in the skin and leave it feeling slightly irritated. Therefore, those with delicate skin may want to be cautious when using this product. However, it can be a good option for areas like rough, dry heels, as it effectively smoothens and softens the skin.
Just ok
Not a fan of the st Ives brand because of the ingredients and harshness of their products on skin. Gave this a try, it wasn’t bad but I think too abrasive for face. I would use this as a foot scrub or elbows, etc.
