Not bad
I do prefer another type of sharpener from the staedtler brand but this one is good too. Sharpens pencils and coloured pencils separately. The blades aren't too sharp and the lid is hard to take off and put on. You can get this at Walmart and staples.
great for school
when it comes to sharperners to me, I cant seem to find one that actually works or it becomes broken, this brand is the way to go , especially for school
Great!
I like this sharpener because it doesn't need to be emptied all the time. In addition, it is very study, and the lid stays put.
I like how sharp it gets pencils too, without leaving edges of unsharpened bits.
For a great price, you can't go wrong with this sharpener.
Worth
I think that it was the best cheap sharpener for school. It's pretty useful because it has a hole for pencils and color pencils. Also, it's easy to remove tiny pieces. The only issue is that the cover can be removed easily and it makes my pencilbag really dirty.
Low Quality but Good For Basic Needs
I remember always having a few of these sharpeners around my house growing up, and we still have them. They can be found at Wal Mart and Staples for a cheap price. To dump out the shaving, all you need to do is unscrew the lid. These sharpeners do their job of sharpening pencils but you get what you pay for in terms of quality-- it is not great. For me, pencil lead often gets stuck in the sharpener and needs to be taken out. Also, pencils will sometime sharpen only for the lead to fall out when I try to use them. For basic needs, these work fine but for anything above that, I'd invest in a better quality sharpener.
Great price but does not last
These plastic sharpeners can be found for $1 or just over $1 at Walmart. They are a great price and very affordable if you need to replace them. I would say that if you are in art school or like to write, you should invest in a better quality sharpener. If you only need a sharpener now and again this is a great tool. It is easy to use and easy to take off the lid and get rid of the shavings. I find pencil crayons often get their tip stuck in there and it is very difficult to sharpen them. I also find these break easily if you are not careful with them, but like I said, they are affordable if you need it replace it.
