Chocolate Birthday Cake In A Granola Bar?!

When I saw these at the store I knew I had to try them! I love trying different granola bars, and I have a sweet tooth so the chocolate birthday cake flavor really hit me. I was not disappointed! These can be purchased for around $2.50 at Loblaws. The granola bar is made up of an oat and rice texture which is brought together but a honey-like substance. The base is also covered with a chocolate sauce so that adds a nice sweetness. There are mini chocolate chips onside which are coated with a sugar coating. These add a nice sweetness and birthday cake element to the granola bar. I love that these have a nice chocolate flavor and also a nice sweetness. They are crunchy yet soft to chew. I would recommend!

Chewy Fudgey Slice Of Cake In A Granola Bar

I found boxes of these granola bars (both chocolate cake and vanilla cake) at my local Loblaws for less than $1 each, so I decided to grab a few boxes. They have quickly become one of my favourite dessert-like granola bars.

These granola bars have a cocoa oat base which appear to be held together by a honey-like substance. There are chocolate chips packed inside the base. The top of the bar is topped with pink sprinkled and drizzled very generously with milk chocolate. The granola bar tastes like a fudgey slice of chocolate cake and the chewy, moist texture adds to the experience. There is a mild saltiness that comes through as an aftertaste in some bites which can be a bit odd at first, but it helps to enhance the sweetness of the cake flavour as you keep eating. I could eat an entire box in one sitting, probably haha. I will keep buying these!
