Great new roast, still the Starbucks coffee we're used to

Maybe it's because I live in a city that's blessed by great coffee and food. Maybe it's been a while since I've experienced Starbucks. Maybe I'm just a snob. In any case, this dark roast by Starbucks which I had for the first time in-store just today was pretty great by Starbucks standards. It has some subtle floral notes mixed in with fruit, as advertised, which is a nice change from their usual dark roast at my nearest location. However, being Starbucks, I can't help but also notice a slightly-burnt flavor, which is often present even in their blonde roast coffee. In any case, this Papua New Guinea roast is great to try for those Starbucks fans out there!
