Starbucks sumatra coffee, whole bean, 12-ounce bags (pack of 3) has a full, syrupy body with virtually no acidity - so the coffee's intensity lingers in your mouth. The concentrated spicy, herbal notes and earthy aroma are the telltale signatures of this well-loved coffee.

    Best dark roast they have!

I buy 44 kcups of this coffee every 2 weeks, and I am the only coffee drinker in the house. I am a huge fan of dark roast coffees, but I usually lean towards an Italian or French Roast. Not this time. Starbucks Sumatran Coffee has that rich, bold flavor I associate with the brand, and that keeps me comong back. I would definitely recommend this roast.

    French Press This

I'm a Starbucks Barista and I have a bit of a soft spot for dark blends, but this is by far my favourite dark blend we cary. It's the one I always make at home in my french press. I just love it, it's dark but not bitter, and with a good creamer it's just the perfect thing to wake you up in the morning. It's just down right awesome

    It’s the perfect morning coffee.

If you love the dark and strong flavour of coffee, this is the one!! It’s my morning pickup drink and I totally swear by it, though Starbucks has even better blends.

    Starbucks as a whole...

Am I the only person on earth who absolutely hates Starbucks coffee? I only drink it if there's no other coffee around and I need a pick me up and if I have a gift card. I've tried all sorts of the regular coffee blends and it all tastes the same but in stronger bitter levels or weaker ones. I find that their coffee has a more bitter than usual taste and tastes burnt. It also makes my stomach feel horrible.
Some of the fancier drinks are alright but I've had better at other drink places. They're packed with sugar and extremely overpriced. $12 for a Venti Soy frap on ice with whip, hold the ice but extra cold and soy on the side with 3 splenda and chocolate sprinkles hold the lactose and gluten!? C'mon now. No, I'm not really that pretentious and don't actually order that if I go to Starbucks. Lol. But, I'm not about to pay $8 for a Venti PSL or White chocolate mocha.
The treats, sandwiches and other baked goods are alright and the only reason my review got 3 stats but they're also overpriced and underwhelming.
That's just me... I'd rather go to Second Cup or Tim Horton's to be honest.

    Love this dark roast

I am usually a blonde roast fan - Starbucks' veranda blend is my all time favorite coffee. With that being said - I really do enjoy the occasional cup of indulgent dark roast. When that craving strikes - this is my go-to coffee. The flavor is bold and full, and amazing with cream. This is a rich delicious treat at an accessible price point.

I am pretty happy with this particular Starbucks Blend; the Sumatra which is Earthy and Herbal. When I first read "herbal" i thought, now why would I want coffee with herbal in the name, well what herbal does, I found out, is

Coffees in Sumatra are traditionally processed using a method called Giling Basah, or wet-hulling, which results in a coffee that leaves the farm with a much higher moisture content than other methods used more popularly worldwide.

The acidity in this coffee is low, but it has the herbal notes, which is described in the details on the bag of what this Indonesian coffee is as spicy, which is to balance the wet, dense, earthy richness.

I am not a "Coffee Conniseur by no means, but have learned a lot over the years, and I only enjoy this coffee with cream and sometimes with golden brown sugar or cane sugar. Cinnamon really influences the flavor's of this Sumatra coffee as well.

I will buy it again, as I like to have about 3 kinds of coffee in my house at one time, but this is not a daily coffee for me., more a desert coffee, or just a 1 to 2 cup kind of coffee. It can get boring and flat on the tongue it too many is drank.

This coffee got my husband hooked on Starbucks! He loves it! They don't seem to serve it at the Starbucks near my house, but when he tried it in London he said it was amazing. Thanks for a delicious brew!

This is my go to at home coffee! It is so rich and flavorful! This coffee has a kick and will definitely wake you up! It's also nice that you earn Bonus Stars each time you purchase! This coffee is on the pricier side but SO worth it! Once you try it, there's no going back! I definitely recommend!

I love the taste of this coffee, it's one of my favourites. The price could be a little better, it is rather pricey though. I have recently found other coffee's that are just as good for a lot less.

I love this coffee but find the price a bit too high. Many other great coffees on the market that are more affordable. Good for a treat or if I have a coupon.
