Great glow!
This product gave me a great overall glow to my skin. I was hoping for more coverage but will continue to use it. Once I use a powder over top I get the desired look.
I have the shade 10 Watt, which I think the way the shades are numbered is super adorable!
It gives a beautiful glowy finish and doens't make me break out. I will say that it doesn't last the longest amount of time, and the coverage is light to medium, but I can build it up to full without it looking cakey. I think this foundation just looks absolutely gorgeous on the skin! They could use a larger shade range though.
Definatly not a fan of this foundation. i Found that i could really feel it on my skin the whole day. And it made me feel hot because my skin could not breath. Not worth the money.
I'm not a fan of giving bad reviews, but when a product is expensive and has false claims I feel like I have to. I purchased Stila's Illuminating Foundation in 10 watts - a perfect shade for me and was excited to try it. I've heard great things about Stila's foundation line but this one just didn't hit the mark for me.
First, it isn't really a liquid foundation. This is much closer to a cream foundation and is mineral oil based so those with oily skin or even combination skin need to be aware. With all that hydration from the mineral oil, I figured it would at least look sheer and glowing on the skin but instead it turned out thick and cakey and dried into every fine line I have (and I don't have many I'm only 23!). Another thing is that mineral oil is a very inexpensive ingredient in cosmetics and for the price of this foundation it is HARDLY worth it!
I hope Stila has some other foundations that aren't as disappointing as this one. There are still a lot of products I love from their line so it doesn't deter me from buying from them again. Just be wary that this isn't the product for everyone.

I tried this out in a local Shoppers DM which has a Stila display and was not terribly impressed. I also was given a healthy sample to take home and test for a week or so. For the price, I prefer NARS, quite honestly. I like to have a medium to full coverage foundation which doesn't LOOK medium to full cover, but I just didn't like the feel or look of this product on my skin. I ended up not buying it because of that.
Will probably go and get another NARS foundation with my cards, and wanting to try out another MUF medium to full cover foundation.
The search continues :-)
I have been using this foundation for 9 years!!!! I have sensitive and dry skin and this foundation is FABULOUS!!!! Not only does it contain SPF 15, it has chips of pearl in it so it gives your skin a glow. This is a medium coverage foundation. The texture feels very light weight, but the foundation is layerable, if for some days you want a more full coverage. The formula is such that is lasts all day and night!
The product is also cruelty free!!!
I have tried numerous foundations at a little less in price such as Bobbi Brown, MAC and Nars. The Stila foundation is $38, so it is a little pricy for my budget, but I STILL KEEP COMING BACK. The other foundations dont even compare to how fabulous this great product is. The Stila Foundation calm my skin and does not itch like the other formulas have for me in the past.
People dont give Stila the credit it deserves because it is only sold in Sephora and online, but TRUST me its well WORTH IT!!!!!
Love this foundation! smooths out irregularities in my skin tone, but keeps me looking fresh and bright without too much shine or sparkle. I use this with stila hydrating primer spf15 and love the combo.
