Really stiff brushes

I asked my husband to get me some makeup brushes for Christmas and he got these. The big blush brush is really nice and soft but the other brushes are very stiff. The eye shadow brushes do not blend well. After a few months of use they are getting a little softer but still hard to use. The set comes with 1 big eyeshadow brush and 1 small angle brush. Neither of these brushes work well for applying eye shadow. I find myself blending for a long time and the material is hard on the skin.
