Bad on my skin

Not for me.Even though Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum is quite popular, we have to point out that the formula contains a pretty high concentration of denatured alcohol. In fact, it’s the highest concentration ingredient after water! Why is this a problem? Well, denatured alcohol is well known to cause skin dryness, irritation, and even disruption of the skin barrier. The brand is likely using alcohol in this formula to enhance the penetration of other ingredients.

Luxurious Serum

This serum is highly raved about in the beauty community and so I decided to give it a go.

The texture of the serum is quite light, a golden yellow colour and has a very light herbal scent which I personally really like. It feels amazing on the skin and absorbs super quickly (and immean SUPER QUICKLY that I don’t have time to massage and do all the steps they recommend you to do) and doesn’t feel sticky at all.

Now, this serum is supposed to be the first step of your skincare routine after cleansing as it helps to absorb the products better into your skin. I haven’t noticed much difference in terms of better absorption, and with the heavy price tag it’s definitely a luxury and a treat yourself once in a while product.

I would say go for it and try it out if you have extra money and really want to experience it personally, but if you’re tight on budget, I’d say try a different product instead!

What’s all this hype about it?

I was really exited to give this product a try after all the hype around it... Unfortunately it’s a big no for me. Alcohol denat is the second ingredient on the list. Doesn’t really make a difference besides irritating my skin. There are definitely better options for the price.

This serum is amazing! I wake up with smooth skin after patting into clean skin the night before. It can be used morning and evening, and all you need is a couple drops.

Glowing & dewy like K-pop skin

For a premium product of anti aging serum. This is did an okay job. I like it because it has nice spreadable feeling when I applied to my skin. But nothing special beyond that.

Leaves Skin Softer Than Expected

This made my facial skin so soft and smooth, and I love the ingredients used. It also smells quite nice! Three wins in one bottle. The only thing that stops me from getting another bottle ASAP is the price.

High hopes

I received a sample, used it for over a month. Didn't do anything to my skin, except break me out like crazy. When I didn't use this, my skin was clear. Its brown, not a fan of the scent, absorbs quickly.

tried first time

I tried Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum. It is really good and made my skin very smooth and soft. I liked it. It smelled good too. I had heard alot about Korean beauty products but i tried one for the first time.

Expensive serum

This product is super expensive and I'm not seeing the results that would justify its high price. It smells like ginseng and is brown but does tint your face slightly when applied so its best to put it on at night. The tint does go away though. It's moisturizing but I don't see results from this that would distinguish it from a cheaper serum.
