Easy to use swaddles
We used these and used these and used these until we couldn't use them anymore! Our kiddo slept so well in these... they were lifesavers. They aren't too warm and the velcro stays put. Our little guy would Houdini out of it every so often, but for the most part, these easy to use swaddles work wonders. They have great stretch for when babies grow and move around and you can get them pretty tight to help stop the startle reflex. The only downside is that the velcro is loud, so if you're trying to change a diaper without waking the baby, it's almost impossible. Also, they start pilling after about two dozen or so washes.
For the escape artist who eacapes the tighesr swaddle.
My son was a swaddle escape artist. These were our solution. The velcro made it so my son would stay tightly bundled & wouldn’t wake himself up. I would recommend this to all new parents who have trouble with their babies staying swaddled.
Great while it lasted
This swaddle worked great for my baby, however the velcro didn’t last more than 3 months before it was coming undone too easily. It fit my baby well and kept her sleeping soundly until she was able to easily pop it open.
Great!
Size: 0-3 months, 7-14 pounds, or up to 26 inches. Suitable for normal sized and slightly bigger newborns!
Swaddles are one of those things that isn't totally necessary, but many parents find they help the baby to sleep and can be a lifesaver with babies who cry and wake up a lot! This is a lot closer to a traditional Swaddle than the Summer Infant 'Pod' Swaddles (which zip up and don't constrict as much).
The downside of that is that it's a lot more complicated to setup and get baby into, so if you have a relative watching them, or are a first time parent, it can be tricky. After the first few times doing it though, it will become second nature. There are (thankfully) instructions on the packet, but you can find plenty of videos online if you're really struggling.
This swaddle has a lovely gender-neutral elephant print, making it perfect for before you know the baby's gender, or for those who prefer non-pink and blue baby gear. A lot of people give pink and blue clothes, so you end up with a glut of them and something in a lovely soft grey or yellow can stand out from the crowd of gift-givers. I personally adore the little elephant illustrations on this.
The stitching is all great quality and the fabric is nice and gentle on skin. I worry about the velcro ruining the fabric over time (especially if you stick in the wrong place), but the truth is they outgrow this stuff fast, so I likely won't have any reason for concern.
One unique feature of this swaddle is the slit in the back, designed to work with harnesses, but it's also handy to check the diaper and see if you have to remove the swaddle. Overall, just a great swaddle that won't be right for everyone, but if you're looking for a traditional swaddle, this is a good one.
This swaddle worked great for my infant and was easy for both my husband and I to use. Helped my baby feel secure while sleeping and it comes in a variety of colours. On sale you can find the swaddle for just around $12. With this swaddle you don't have to worry about wrapping in any complicated way. You place the baby in it, wrap from left to right, and the then you just button from the right to left.
Our swaddle sac has been an absolute life saver. No matter how tight we swaddle baby with a blanket he always manages to get his arms out but the velcro on this wraps keeps that from happening. Since we started using it, he has been sleeping longer at night. They are only about $17 each which sounds like a lot but is so worth it. They also come in a variety of cute patterns. B
