My skin just drinks this up!
This gel water cream is very light and hydrating. It glides over the skin like water and absorbs soon after applying.
I find with continuous use my skin looks healthier and brighter so it definitely delivers on its promises.
The effective ingredients in this cream are:
🌊 Hyaluronic acid which is a wonderful source of hydration.
🧈 Papain which exfoliate the top layer of the skin leaving it soft and smooth.
🌞 Alpha-Arbutin brightens the skin, reduces dark spots and discoloration.
🌊 Tamarind extract which is moisturizing.
This does have a cucumber like scent that is almost spa like but it dissipates soon after applying.
I usually apply this overtop niacinamide or vitamin c serum and it causes me no irritations or redness and my skin is left looking flawless.
Soft skin ahead!
I love this moisturizer. Not fond of the smell. It's got a nice texture. It sucks into my skin. Keeping it soft and smooth. I definitely recommend it!
Hit for oily skin a dud in winter
I usually have oily skin and found this worked so well in the summer/fall months. Now that winter is here you might find it isn’t enough hydration for combo skin. The fragrance is quite nice with hints of natural botanicals
Love putting this on.
I like this water cream--it has such a pleasing cool gel texture, and a lovely earthy smell (probably not for everyone). The only problem is I can't put it on under makeup as it makes it pill, so I just use this at night.
Moisturizes
I love this water cream, its oil free lightweight and it a gel cream.
It absorbs quickily in my skin. I use this under my makeup.
Only downfall is the smell, its not strong but a light smell.
The price is high, does last a long time.
Love it!
Be careful if you have Sensitive Skin
I chose this product for my Ipsy bag and was so excited to try it as I've never tried anything from Sunday Riley since they are a very expensive brand. My first impression of it was the smell, it has a lot of fragrance in it, and not necessarily a good smell, it smells like straight up old lady's perfume, so if you don't like fragrances products or are sensitive to those types of products then right away you won't like this. Texture wise it is a nice gel cream texture which I do like, it is pretty hydrating and a little goes a long way, the most surprising this for me was how non-brightening it is, it actually did the opposite, made my skin really red, uneven and blotchy looking, also one thing I did notice was that it burns my skin a little when I put it on which may contribute to the redness and blotchyness. For those reasons mainly and also the price tag at $86CDN I don't think this cream is worth it, you can get much better gel creams for half the price or less and i would say if you can sensitive skin to just pass on this one in general.
:)
I really like how this felt when I applied it to my skin. It’s very mositurizing, light and you don’t need a lot for your whole face. I love using this is a primer!
Best water cream ever
I'll start with some facts:
Tyrosinase is an enzyme that catalyzes the production of melanin through the oxidation of the amino acid tyrosine. It is found inside an organelle synthesized in our melanocytes, called melanosome.🌹 Tyrosinaze activates anytime when in contact with uv light aka the Sun. The resulting baby is an overproduction of melanin, which leads to uneven skin tone, dark spots and hyperpigmentation🌹
@sundayriley tidal water cream contains 1% of a substance called alpha arbutin, a natural derivative of hydroquinone that serves as a tyrosinase inhibitor. To make a long story short, your skin won't overproduce melanin anymore, so your uneven skin tone won't worsen🌹
Which takes us to the papaya enzymes that will exfoliate the dead skin cells, therefore diminishing the look of the existing dark spots 🌹
Of course, It wouldn't be a water cream if it didn't contain our beloved hyaluronic acid for intense hydration.🌹
🌟🌟🌟My experience:🌟🌟🌟
I usually use tidal in the morning for a fresh and healthy looking skin. It is a very effective moisturizer and makeup primer. It's not sticky, doesn't roll under my foundation, and most of all, didn't break me out.🌹
It has a slight dewiness to it, nothing oily or greasy, but leaves some sort of a dewy film on the skin🌹
It is something I would recommend to everyone that wants more benefits from a simple moisturizer🌹🌟🌹🌟🌹
The cream I keep going to back to!
I love to try new products but I can't seem to get away from this one. It's light, yet moisturising and leaves my skin plump. This is my go to cream for day or night, used with Good Genes or without.
My new go to!
I absolutely love this product!! It works so well, and I find it has helped brighten up my skin.
Only downside is it does smell a little... weird almost? Idk. All in all I love it and will continue to buy it.
