Meat was grey after being cooked…
I cooked a chicken burger from this company for the right amount of time and until it was 165°F, but I noticed a weird smell coming from it when I flipped it. When it was done, I took a bite and immediately spit it back out when I found out that the inside of the burger was GREY MEAT. It doesn’t even tear like chicken is supposed to, so not entirely sure if that is actual chicken used in these burgers. I checked the frozen ones after as well, they are also grey. I wish I read the reviews before I bought these. Not sure if I can return them or not, but I don’t think these are safe to eat.
Garbage!
Absolutely horrible! Goo Burgers is right!! I returned them for a refund and also wrote to their head office to tell them what I thought and actually got an answer.
Chicken meat is mechanically removed.
What your eating from Sunrise Farms in ALL the chicken products are pieces that they can't sell at the markets . Read before you proceed eating this garbage that I would never feed myself, muchless my todder or dog !
The Mechanically deboned chicken begins as a chicken goo or aka ‘pink slime‘ or ‘pink goo’. The pieces of the chicken carcass that have no particular commercial use – as in you wouldn’t buy it if it was at the grocery store – are thrown into a machine that produces the goo.
Hundreds perhaps thousands of chickens are combined together, pushed forcefully against a screen until the least resilient matter is squeezed through by the force of all the other chicken pieces being pressed against it.
This product is then spit out into a container where that matter is packaged and sent to another facility for reshaping.
Chicken nuggets, hot dogs, and chicken cutlets are the end result.
GROSS!! I just threw them all out and I urge you to do the same.$5.00 is just not worth my regret.
Never again will I buy this company!
They taste like stale farts from dr Phil
My dad thought he was getting a juicy burger but instead he got a mouth full of dog shit. The taste and texture was just awful and my Dad said this has been the most pathetic meals he’s ever had and I agree. My dad later was rushed to the hospital after eating one of these pink burgers, thanks sunrise farms.
Thought I was getting something tasty; bad choice. Sure the price was cheap BUT they are terrible. Didn't actually eat them and fed them to my dogs. Sometimes the price is right but I won't sacrifice good taste to buy these. Far as I'm concerned, they are garbage
