Swiss Chalet's Caesar side salad consists of a small amount of pieces of romaine lettuce with a tiny sprinkling of white cheese shreds of no noticeable flavour. It comes with a packet of Renee's Caesar salad dressing and a packet of croutons. No bacon is included, although this is a standard ingredient in Caesar salads. The bitter lettuce stems are left in, so that only half the lettuce in the salad is edible, that is the leafy, green portions. Not only are the prices of Swiss Chalet's salads much too high for any salad, not to mention these of less than mediocre quality, but there is an extra charge for Caesar salads, even when they are included in a meal or combination. Unless you are absolutely determined on a Caesar salad from Swiss Chalet and nothing else will do, then I'd advise you to spend your money elsewhere.
