This was a great series and I was sad when it was over. My sister and I use to watch this together every week and we both really enjoyed it. The characters are very realistic, for the most part. I like how there are different topics that are addressed such as being deaf, teen relationships, racists and so much more. The balance of characters was very good and I like how you got to see different perspectives of various situations that happen in real life.
"Bay Kennish is a teenager who grew up in a wealthy family with two parents and a brother. Fellow teen Daphne Vasquez, who lost her hearing at an early age, was raised by a single mother in a working-class neighborhood. One day in her high-school chemistry class, Bay discovers that her blood type doesn't match either of her parents'. Official tests confirm that Bay is not her parents' birth child. When the Kennish family meets Daphne and her mom, Regina, they realize that the girls were switched at birth. The news prompts the Kennishes to allow Regina -- who is experiencing financial difficulties -- Daphne and Daphne's grandmother to live in their guest house. The two polar-opposite families struggle to learn how to live together for the sake of the girls, who try to keep their footing in both the world they know and the new one into which they are thrown."
I loved this show And I'm sad that it ended this year with the 5th season.....But will probably re watch it. :)
This show is highly addicting. I think I am on the 4th season now (and they are making a 5th!) About two girls who were switched at birth, and didnt find this out until they were teenagers. It is a really good show-- full of drama, a lot of ASL which is interesting to learn the challenges someone who is deaf encounters, and some laughter too!
