This USB cable is impressive from the get go!

It is thick and sturdy – much sturdier than the Apple cord I got with my iPhone. It seems to withstand a lot – walking on it, accidentally slamming it the drawer, and our parrot even decided to give it a few nibbles (a normal cord would not withstand this. At. All).

The charging ends are made of a durable plastic material (again, much more durable than the original Apple cords), so yanking them out of the charging ports is not a huge deal (I wouldn’t recommend this, but you probably do not have to fear your cord will break with one yank – a fear with non-Apple USB cords)

It recognizes both my Iphone 5S and my Ipod Nano Generation 7 without any issues. I have not had any errors with either charging or sending and receiving data. I am also able to use my phone while charging – not something that can be done with most non-Apple cords.

My multiple wall chargers (as most iPhone users can relate to), desktop computer, and laptop computer all work in conjunction with the cord as well – I have not had any recognition errors or slow speed data transfers.

The 1 metre length is acceptable and allows me to plug it into most of my USB charging ports without straining the cord.

The charging speed from the Cord to charging device has not slowed down, so I am able to recharge my phone and iPod without worrying that it will take too long.

Overall, I am impressed with the quality of this cord – I will definitely be back for more to replace my old cords as required!
