Finally!

As a woman in my mid forties, my periods are heavy and not very fun. Not that any period is! I’ve always struggled with a tampon that doesn’t leak through within 2 hours. Not anymore. The Tampax Ultra gives me 6 hours on my heaviest days, and up to 8 on lighter days. More stores need to carry this option.

Piece of Mind for Very Heavy Days

Ever since the fem-hy industry decreased the absorbancy levels of tampons, I have had to use them more frequently, and/or with unpredictable results. I was very pleasantly surprised to find the Ultra absorbancy at Shoppers Drug Mart, and decided to give them a try. I have PCOS, and this, combined with my age, have resulted in very heavy and/or inconsistent flows. On my very heaviest days, the comfort and absorbancy is appreciated. They are great overnight, and I have far fewer leaks than when using Super Plus absorbancy. I can say that the only negative is that I would prefer not to use a (non-biodegradable) plastic applicator. I like the comfort of the plastic, but wish it could be made from environmentally-friendly or biodegradable material. They are also not widely available, so this would help to boost sales, and allow for better pricing.

So glad they are back!

For many years the ultra tampons were not available in Canada. I have been buying them every time I go to the USA. My husband always gives me a funny look. So happy that I saw them at Shoppers the other day! Now I don’t have to save them for the super duper heavy flow days. These are fantastic and they are the only tampons that allow me to function somewhat normally on day two of my period.

Great product

Tampax is the only tampon brand I trust. The pearl variety is great for leak protection, and the fact that they now offer ultra absorbency is amazing!
I wish they offered an actual variety pack cause then I wouldn't look like a weirdo (buying 4-5 boxes of tampons at a time) when I'm just trying to have a few of each absorbency.

These are the best for extra heavy flow.

Tampax pearl ultra are the only tampons i have found to work when my flow is extra heavy. Every other brand I have tried has left me having to change my pajamas in the middle of the night. I will definitely be purchasing these again.

Tampax pearl is the best I ever use . It doesnt leak . And with his applicator it's making it very easy to applicate. I recommand this product for every woman.

The best of the bunch! So easy to insert! Minimum to no leakage, stays in place comfortably. I have tried a genetic store brand and quickly went back to Tampax. Will be using these until menopause!

I am a very loyal customer of the Tampax brand. Tampax is a very good product it works very well it's good in absorption. I have no worries when I'm out and about I know it gets the job done and it fit's comfortably Applicator is smooth I recommend this to anyone.

For my super-heavy flow, it lasts for 2-4 hrs (active) and for 5-6 hrs (overnight). Insertion is very easy, removal tends to be slightly painful - I expected this given how much it expands. In comparison, Super-Plus (Tampax or UBK) lasts for 2-2.5 hours (active).

Because I've figured out how long it lasts for my flow, I've rarely faced leaks. To help, I always wear a thin pad/ liner. I'm most grateful for Ultra (or any tampon!) when I stand up after hours of sitting. Even w/ the thickest of pads, I used to make a mad dash to the loo to prevent a mini-Niagara Falls down there! It's truly the longest lasting absorbency I've found, whether at work or on the road. Hopefully, Tampax will someday introduce it in Compak?

The only bad part is availability in Canada and so, its price. Well (dot) ca is the ONLY Canadian online retailer to stock Ultra @ $7 for 18ct.

So my period has been super heavy and like 3mths long, I have tried so many different brands I went to the states and found the tampax pearl ULTRA oh my, I've been wasting my money buying the others my new life savour
