I received this product free from the chick advisor product review club...and i have to say that i love it! My usual brand is the plain tampax cardboard and occasionally the pearl line. I find these tampons far superior to the cardboard ones, but very similar to the pearl...with the exception of the flashier packaging and individual wrappers. I loved the wrappers!!! Made disposal discreet and clean...the wrappers are bulkier however. They fit comfortably, easy insertion, and generally did what i expected them to do. I would buy these...altho i do find them a tad over priced.

I received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club and was thoroughly impressed. These are by far the best tampons I have used. I have used Tampax brand for many years, and generally go with the Compak line, but have recently been using the Pearl line.

The new Radiant tampons have a sleek and smooth applicator which is very comfortable to insert. The tampon itself is sort of crescent shaped, my guess is to better conform with the female anatomy. I like that the tampon has a braided cord - similar to the Pearl line, to prevent leaks for a little extra longer than the average tampon. I had no leaks while using this tampon, a first! It is sort of weird that the braided cord goes blue though, I thought something funky was going on at first :/

The thing that I like the most about the Radiant tampons, and the only real difference I noticed between the Pearl and the Radiant lines (besides funky colours and packaging) was the resealable package for the tampon. Sometimes I find if I throw my tampons in the bottom of a purse or backpack, the packaging can tear and the tampon can come out.... has lead to some awkward moments and wasted tampons. However! With this new packaging, which seems thicker and somewhat quilted, this has not happened, and even if it did the sticker allows for the package to be resealed. Its also handy for putting the used applicator in. The box that the tampons came in was easy to open and stylish. The only way that these tampons could improve is if if were shorter and more compact like the Compak line, as they are hard to fit in small purse pockets.

I will be buying these tampons in the future if the price is right. They are very similar to the Pearl line of tampons, the only real difference I noticed was the packaging of the individual tampon, and the flashier box. If they are cheaper or the same price, I will definately buy this product.

I received this as a member of the product review club to test and review. I was very happy with this product! I loved the packaging, bright and cheery! But best of all they worked really well, no leaks and super comfortable to wear. Almost makes you forget you are on your period, lol. I've used Tampax products for years but this is definitely their best invention yet. I will continue to use this product and will recommend to friends for sure! Thanks ChickAdvisor!

I received this from Chick Advisor - First off, let me just say the packaging of this line is super cute and eye catching. I found that these were very easy (and comfortable) to insert with the plastic applicator, and easy to remove. I didn't notice them at all. I have a moderate flow and I found these provided good protection for me - I had no problems with leaks, and was able to wear them for a few hours before I needed to change. I also really like that the packaging is meant to be used for easy disposal - I just wish they were a little less bulky. I will definitely use these again.

The packaging was bizarre to me, I usually just discretely wrap anything up in toilet paper and that's fine with me. Seems like having to put it back in the pocket is a bit messy and too much for something like this. I also feel like the colour of the applicator was a bit odd - white and light colours go better with feminine products.

The actual effectiveness of this product is average. It didn't fan out like other brands, which I prefer as I lead an active life and I felt like I was worried about leaking. I often purchase a super absorbancy due to this fear. There's nothing worse than worrying about an embarrasssing leak situation.

Overall, I would say this product had way too much thought put into the packaging and not enough thought put into the effectiveness of the product. A plain package with a really solid product that protects from leaks would sell me more than all of these bells and whistles.

You may be looking at my scores and wondering why I said I'd never buy something I scored so high, well, there's a reason for that but let's break down the product first.

The Tampax pearl tampon line is a very consistent product; it's an applicator-based tampon that does it's job well, doesn't leak, has a firm string and doesn't disintegrate. I've tried the product before in a slightly different style and I know it's a good choice.

But here's my complaint. The product uses SO MUCH PACKAGING it's outrageous. I understand that some women are sensitive about their periods and need discrete disposal to counter any uncomfortable feelings they have about tampons, but there is just way too much effort put into having floral outlays on the applicator. I don't CARE if it is pretty, it needs to be functional first. I don't generally use applicator based tampons because I find them hard to just slip in my pocket (what can be more discrete than o.b.? But this one has the most packaging of a tampon I've seen in this market and it's just too much.

The packaging is very attractive. They are fairly easy to insert. One of the great features is the resealable package to dispose of the tampons discreetly. Overall I liked these a fair bit and would probably be trying them again and would recommend them to others as well.
