This is more of an illuminator than a primer - and it does illuminate well. I didn't notice a real difference in helping the staying power of my makeup.

I'm kind of sad this was discontinued because I really liked the pearly glow it gave my face. I would rarely even put foundation on top because I loved how it made my skin look all on its own.
