Best foundation I have ever used

I am in love with this Tarte foundation! I was always someone that cheaped out on my makeup and just purchased from drugstores or department stores. I was never one to buy expensive makeup. One day I was at the mall by myself and decided to go get color matched at Sephora. They matched me and recommended this foundation. From that point on I was hooked! Gals/Guys/Dogs/Cats everyone and you great aunt Nellie, take it from me. Don’t cheap out on your makeup and if you’ve only ever bought drug store brands just give one expensive product a try. It will be a game-changer. I don’t even know how to describe it. My Tarte foundation just smells clean and natural (I’m used to my makeup having kind of a harsh stinky smell) I never get breakouts from it. I put it on in the morning and it lasts all day. It does not get cakey. Covers and blends so well. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about this product. Just go out and buy yourself some, you won’t regret it!

Oily skin’s answer!

I have natural oily skin and this foundation has been the answer to my skin. It stays on all day and it does not fade off! It doesn’t make me break out and it simply looks great! I will continue to buy it!

Just like clay

This did not work well with my skin.
I applied a light layer on my skin and it instantly felt tight and cakey.
The colour was spot on, but it looked like clay cracking on my skin.
Just wasn't for me

Great Coverage

This is a great foundation! It’s lightweight, stays put all day, and amazing coverage! I apply it with either a damp beauty sponge for a lighter application or with a foundation brush for days I need a little bit more coverage. In warmer weather I tend to have a little oilier skin so I do make sure to set it with a powder. I highly recommend!

Good - Medium Coverage - transfers

I have used Tarte Amazonian clay 12-hour foundation for a couple of years on and off. A plus is that it does not break out my sensitive skin. The downside, is that there is a lot of transfer. Setting with powder helps this a bit, but this foundation has never lasted me all day.. definitely not 12-hours. I do like the finish for the first few hours. I would say it’s medium coverage. Overall a good foundation, but not the holy grail.

Best foundation I've ever splurged on!

I bought this foundation because I got a sample in my Ipsy bag and fell in love w/ the fact that there's Amazonian clay in it and it goes on so smooth and the coverage is wonderful!!

Amazonian Clay -Perfectly flawless full coverage Foundation

I have fallen in love with this foundation by Tarte. I have tried so many different brands and with my oily skin never found a full coverage foundation that leaves my skin so healthy and clean through the day while still providing the long lasting full coverage. It goes on so smoothly and leaves your skin looking flawless; ready to apply the rest of your makeup easily without effort. The only negative is the price but it does go on sale and I will continue to purchase it!

Hands Down Worse Foundation ...

Where to begin with this foundation, 1st let me just say this by far has to be the worst foundation I have tried hands down. I don't have very much luck with Tarte foundation so it's no surprise that this one didn't work, the formula is a whipped, mouse formula, it doesn't really have any kind of smell to it so probably good for sensitive skin. Were it goes really downhill, it says the coverage is NOT full coverage, I was lucky to get medium coverage with this and for some reason it would not stay on my nose. I didn't find it easy to blend out, and it does not sink into my skin, I just felt like I was smearing the foundation around my face. As soon as it goes on I can just see the dryness taking place, even with setting spray this foundation just looks sooo cakey and dry. Nothing blends well on top especially my concealer. It says that it lasts for 12 hours, this wasn't true for me, i'd be lucky to get 4 hours out of it, at the end of the day I just can't wait to take this foundation off my face, I can just feel it all day sitting on top of my skin. I should also mention that I've tried this a few times with the same base items (moisturizers, primers etc.) and I've never had a good result.

Perfect for my dry/combination skin!

Perfect coverage, feels like I’m not even wearing foundation but gives me a flawless finish! Love this foundation and will definitely recommend to others
