Amazing for combination skin!

I loved this primer, not only was is calming on my skin after a shower but it was also moisturizing, creamy and not greasy, absorbed well into the skin. Makeup applied very well over top and didn't break up right away. There is a small coconut fragrance but I enjoyed the smell. Great for sensitive & combo skin types! This is not a THICK primer, it is thinner than most I find.

Amazing, lightweight, coconut face primer!

I originally paid for this primer full price. Then this came in Boxycharm, and I was so excited I bought five more as back. A little overkill in quantity, but it goes to show how much I love this primer! It is smooth, thin, lightweight. Has a lovely mild smell of coconut. It smoothes over the skin nicely and turns clear when applied onto the skin. It hydrates the skin very well prior to applying foundation. I am so glad that Boxycharm was able to score this in their boxes! Overall, would highly recommend.

Great primer

Well the @tartecosmetics #hydrathingprimer is just absolutely amazing guys... I am floored to the coor. This primer smells buttery/coconuty OMG it's heaven I'm telling you I die each time I put it on... It is very hydrating on your skin, just beautiful guys...

It as a tickyness to it which makes your makeup/foundation stick to your skin, and which it's supposed to be doing...

Hydrates a little too much

I've been using this primer for about a month now. Has a light coconut scent, not too strong. The consistency is thin and watery which makes for easy spread-ability. I don't think this primer was a good fit for summer but I think for winter time it will be perfect. For application I dot a few drops of it on my chin, cheeks and forehead before spreading it all over the face.

Base Tape - Not For Me It Won't Be

I received Tarte Base Tape Hydrating Primer in one of my beauty boxes that I subscribe to. I was stoked to see a new primer from Tarte, as I have quite a few products of Tarte and I have really enjoyed them, aka, Shape Tape Concealer, the holy grail of concealers imho. Anyway, I was so disappointed wiht this. My skin felt greasy and normally my skin loves hydrating products, but it did not like this one at all. This was a disappointing pass for me. Sorry Tarte, but you missed the mark on this. BTW - I did try it on a few occasions as I thought it might be my skin acting up, so I tried it during the week and on the weekend, same results.

It's perfect if you have dry skin. It has a coconut sent which I just love the scent doesn't linger which is also good makes my foundation look so much better.

Another Great Tarte Products!

I received a sample of this in last months Ipsys bag, and I am so glad I got it, I have been enjoying it so much. I am a big fan of Tarte products and this one doesn't disappoint either. I've been using it for about a month now, it has a very nice light coconut scent, not overpowering by any means and I don't think it would irritate skin, the consistency is on the thinner side however a little bit does go a long way. What I really love is the hydrating factors of it, it makes my skin feel so hydrated and soft, creates a nice base for my foundation and keeps my foundation in place all day. Price is pretty standard for most of Tarte products, and since you don't need a lot, it will last a long time, my little deluxe sample has lasted me a month and i've been using it pretty much every day. If you love Tarte products, I would highly recommend trying this primer out.
