Did not work for me

Visited Sephora and the very nice sales consultant suggested I try Tarte's Rainforest foundation so he gave me a samples. I was really excited to try it because it is water based, doesn't use any harsh chemicals in their products, is cruelty free and vegan friendly. Tried it the next morning going to work and right away once I applied it I could tell it wasn't going to work but I gave it all day to see how it went. Unfortunately this foundation just didn't work for my skin, it become very patchy throughout the day and clung to all areas on my face, and it did take a bit of product to build up to where I like it to be. The consistency is pretty watery and coverage could do anything from light to low end full coverage. It is pretty pricey at $51 CDN at Sephora, the only good thing about it was that it kept me pretty matte throughout the day. Packaging is in a glass bottle with a dropper for a dispenser which I don't have a problem with and the colors of their packaging were super cute.

Such a disappointment

I really wanted to love this product as I love Tarte and it is one of the only foundations (almost) light enough for my skin. But honestly, I don't know who this would work for. I have combination skin that leans oily. This somehow, makes my skin look dry. It accentuates ALL texture on your face and brings out patches of dryness you didn't even know you had. It also is incredibly wasteful. I realize it's water based but the dispenser, frankly, sucks, and beauty blenders suck up the bulk of the product, making you use much more than the two pumps the product advertises. Using a brush doesn't help as it also absorbs and makes the texture problem worse by bringing up any flakey skin. It doesn't wear very well throughout the day. The only positives I have to say for this product is that the shade range is great and it doesn't seem to oxidize. This is one of the biggest disappointments in the beauty world for me.

I wasn't crazy about this foundation I bought it online so the undertone is just a tiny bit off for me. This foundation is light to medium coverage. It does oxidize throughout the day. You need to set this foundation with powder or it will transfer when you touch your face. It didn't keep me matte the entire day.

Just decent. The formula is a satin finish on me, but does wear off after after 5-6 hours. Huge colour range. I might buy again but given the price, would probably try out other foundations instead.
