hmmmm...
Each granola bar is 140 calories. You can purchase a package of these at Loblaws for just under $5. 5 bars come per package. Each bar contains 8% iron, and 8% fibre. There are 2 grams of protein per bar. The bar is soft and chewy. There are a lot of oats. This is certified vegan. These bars are made from simple and natural ingredients that are found in your pantry. The bar is made up of oats and rice crisps. The bar is soft and chewy with a nice crunch and texture from the oasts and crisps. Soft and chewy texture. Bar is made of oats, brown rice syrup, pecans, cocoa powder. Weird play-doh taste at first when you eat it with a hint of cocoa. The bar gets better as you get use to it as the chocolate taste comes out mo9re. Doesn’t taste like the name says at all. There is a mild honey taste to the bar which adds a mild sweetness. The bar isn’t overly sweet. Crunchy from oasts. Disappointing overall..! No chunks of nuts in the bar. Do not taste pecan flavor.
I'm usually a fan of the Taste of Nature brand of granola bars, so I was pretty excited when the Chocolate Brownie version came on the market. I like that they are organic and non-GMO. I like that each bar is only 140 calories and has 2 grams of fiber and protein. Unfortunately...that's about all I like.
They are quite bland (you'd think that with Cane sugar as the second ingredient listed, they'd be sweet. You'd be wrong.) There is really no chocolate flavour AT ALL, although you kinda can taste the pecans... but I'd prefer if there were chunks of nuts in the bar, not just the essence of nuts.
I'll just stick with the other varieties of Taste of Nature granola bars.
