My oldest daughter loves to bake. We're pretty hard on our cookie sheets though because we use them a ton for not only baked goods but for roasting veggies and other stuff. She's pretty finicky and doesn't like her cookies the least bit burnt or even browned.

The silicone baking sheets worked wonders for her. She was actually raving about them. She didn't need to use any spray oil or any other prep and her cookies came out great. They had no brown marks on the bottoms and they didn't stick at all. She could just pick up a cookie with her fingers they came off that easily. She said they are the best batch of cookies she's ever made - so that's pretty good praise.

I like that these can go in the dishwasher for easy clean up - just make sure you only put them on the top shelf. I feel much better baking with silicone than using oils or tinfoil - it seems to be a healthier route and we've been slowly graduating to more natural products.

Overall, we're very happy with the silicone baking sheet. It fit the entire cookie sheet, nothing stuck to it despite not using oil and the cookies turned out perfect. They're a great addition to our kitchen.

I have been slowly converting my kitchen into a more efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly haven.

I did not know silicone baking mats existed, but felt it was worthy to see how it held up compared to tin foil, parchment paper, or just spray on aerosol spray (yuck!).

I started doing meal preps (30 meals for two of us to cover healthy weekday meals) about 5 weeks ago, so finally started using the oven again. Normally we use the toaster oven, but preparing this many meals at a time, means using the oven for a few hours at a time, and in turn roasting vegetables and cooking meat.

Normally I have the oven at 375 Fahrenheit, so felt last weekend’s prep Sunday was worthy of testing out the different materials I normally use plus this silicone mat.

It was very comparable to using olive oil during my vegetable bake, but MUCH easier to clean the pan afterwards. Nothing stuck on the tray in either case, but the silicone mat meant I didn’t have to clean the tray in between uses. The oily tray…needed a couple of scrubbings before it was ready to go again.

The tin foil failed as usual, and my next bath of veggies stuck slightly vs the stick free silicone mat.

And Parchment paper lasted about 5 minutes before it started stinking up the kitchen and I needed to turn the fan on and open the windows – failure!

With meal prep days, time is of the essence – I am trying to cut down my time from 3 hours to 2.5 hours, and by using this silicone mat, I don’t have to wash it in between uses, and it makes my baking a LOT more efficient.

With respect to meat – it was SO nice for my chicken to not stick to the tray for once!

I have even tried out my homemade Sweet Potato Fries, and no sticking compared to sticking when I use tin foil AND olive oil.

The fact that I can reduce how much oil I use definitely makes our food taste better and even healthier (if that is really possible)! And the reduction of the cost and waste of tray liners is another bonus of this reusable mat.

So far it has suffered no staining, scratching, or wear and tear, being made of a nice thick breathable silicone material.

The size is also large enough to fit in a flat tray or a roasting pan. It is floppy and not a solid piece, so do keep that in mind!

After my meal prep, it is SO easy to clean – it comes clean simply with soap and water, and I let it air dry. Due to the heat limitations, I would be a bit worried about putting it in the dishwasher (high temperatures to dry dishes), but that is just me.

Definitely a must for anyone who uses the oven!
