Not bad

Now I can't say that this is my favorite product my children do prefer the deep fried fries and Nuggets but as a healthy alternative it's not too bad it works quickly Cooks evenly but does not taste the same as deep fried.

Prefect for homemade fries

We use this household appliance at least weekly, our favorite thing to make is homemade French fries. Still a great taste with less oil than what is normally required.

Sadly Disappointed

I gave the Tfal Actifry to my husband for Christmas as he loves to cook. It is great for french fries only. The oil bakes on the surfaces and as much as I cleaned and scrubbed most will not come off. I am not impressed that I cannot clean this product properly and if you try to cook anything with a coating the paddle knocks it off. Would not recommend. I have since purchased a different product that is much better.

Love it! Best homage chicken wings ever!

It’s so easy to use, very easy to clean and cooks food very quickly! It’s nice because it doesn’t heat up your house while cooking and the food always turns out great!

Not impressed

I really expected a lot more from this appliance. I regret not getting one of the other air flyers in store. This barely has any room. I still use it for fries but that’s it.

We love french fries!

We love french fries at our house. Who doesn’t? Obviously we don’t need all the extra added fat when it comes to the deep fried variety. That’s why when we heard about the T-fal Actifry and how we can cook a batch of french fries in 1 tablespoon of oil we had to get one immediately. The T-fal Actifry works so well. We empty one package (567 g) of frozen fries in to the Actifry, no added oil needed and set it for approx. 22 minutes and let it run. You can watch your food cook as it rotates inside the unit. It shuts off automatically but gives you a warning beep just before it shuts off. At that point you can open up the unit, sample your food and decide if you want to cook for a bit longer depending on how crispy you want your fries. They come out perfect.
There are a few different models of the T-fal Actifry depending on what size you are looking for. Our model is the family model which can make enough to feed four people no problem. This T-fal Actifry is not to be confused with a real deep fryer that you can add batter to to make donuts or other goodies. It does fry your food but doesn’t work with large amounts of oils or liquids. I have used our unit to make roasted potatoes, baked apples and Rice and Shrimp dishes. The T-fal comes with an 83 page recipe book with several options. The teenagers in the house can throw in a batch of prepackages frozen wings or chicken bites and have a hearty meal with little kitchen mess.
After the food is cooked and enjoyed the unit will need to be cleaned up. It has several parts but the main unit pan can be used to serve the food. It looks like a deep frying pan with a handle that folds down. Because of the three main parts involved it’s not the easiest unit to clean up but it’s worth the extra work. The parts are dishwasher safe for convenience. There is a plastic ring that fits around the pan and has a hinge in the centre of it. Truthfully I am afraid one of the kids might snap it in half when attempting to wash it so I would just rather clean it up myself. The worst part of the unit is that it is fairly large and takes up a lot of space when not in use. You can pick up the T-fal Actifry at most department stores for around $200.

Seriously misleading

I have been going back to the gym and eating healthier lately so I picked up the actifry as a way to have a healthier version of the foods I love. The first day I got it I tried green beans and all it did was make the beans soggy and limp. The french fries worked well and they were nice and crispy but they took a really long time to cook. The actifry dried out the homemade chicken strips I made and the rotating arm that moves the food around while it cooks knocked off all of the breading. Thank goodness the store I purchased from agreed to take it back for full refund as this was way too expensive to only make good fries.

I really like our Actifryer. It makes good quality home made French fries with only one spoon of oil, so its great that its healthier. The handle is very convenient for lifting the French fries out. I do wish that it didn't take so long to cook them. Its very slow.

What a great machine!! I absolutely love it and honestly don't know where its been all my life lol.Such a awesome contraption makes steaks,burgers and chicken come out fantastic and the French fries are the bomb I find as long as you pat them dry after cutting and washing them they don't become soggy.All in all what a great healthy option for healthy cooking.

The best things we've made with this fabulous new cooker are chicken wings and french fries. I love that the fries come out tasting crispy on the outside, like deep fried, yet with only a splash of oil. My husband just adds garlic, ginger & soy sauce to wings, and they are so delic! Frozen breaded wings don't turn out as well, the tossing tumbles most of the breading off.
