This is a cult classic and one of Michael's best known books I think. It is unfortunate that he is no longer with us, but his name will live on. He is the author of Jurassic Park.

This book is phenomenal for its time. It was written in 1969 and is all science fiction. He made up a story about a virus strain that was so lethal it could kill people as quickly as they took a breath. The details of bio physics is easily read for the lay man. It sounds so real when you read it, you would think he was a scientist himself, but he made it all up out of his head.

This book is relentlessly suspenseful, hair rasing, super plausible. It is only 283 pages in paperback so it isn't a long commitment. It keeps your mind reeling from beginning to end.
