Love fruitcake all year...

I am a big fan of fruit cake, not not the dark kind. I find the dark fruit cake is too dry and not sweet enough. This fruitcake, however, is perfect. The consistency of the cake itself is dense and it has a nice sweetness to it. I love the candied cherries and fruits within. They add a nice crunch and a unique flavour that reminds me of the holidays. The marzipan icing at the top is my favorite part. It is sweet and has a strong almond flavour. The icing really adds to the overall fruitcake because it adds a new dimension. I purchased this at Walmart during the Christmas season for around $3.
