I swear by nail buffers! I purchased the 'Big Nail Shiner' from The Body Shop. It's a 3-way buffer, and is an awesome little tool to have. One section smooths your nails, while another buffs, and the last gives them a nice shine. This tool (whether you get it from The Body Shop, or anywhere else), is great for on the go. When I use it, my nails look great, it's a great substitute when you want a clear polish look, but don't have the time to apply and wait for it to dry. I also found it was great once I removed my acrylic nails. My nails are always very brittle and dry after having them, and the nail buffer fixes them up in minutes. It's a cheap buy, and definitly something to add to your makeup bag.

I used mine about 3 days ago, applied coloured polish to my nails, which I removed this morning, and my nails are still just as shiny as when I first buffed them.
