I'm so sad that this has been discontinued. It has been my 'go to' powder and I can't find anything (not even the original Bare Minerals products) that compare. I've been scrounging around to find the last few jars of this online and at the Body Shop outlet stores. Hopefully they'll bring it back!!
This product is now discontinued, but one can find them still from various etailers. It's a pretty "meh" product. I was all excited to use something that is supposed to be good for your skin, but in reality, it doesn't look so good on.
The color that the sale associate recommended to me was 302 Golden Beige. He said that it was a good match for my golden complexion. The problem is that the color oxidized on me throughout the day, and I ended up looking like I had put orange bronzer all over my face.
The powder is not the smoothest and I don't find that it blends that well. Maybe there is a good reason why the Body Shop discontinued it.
I love this foundation, for the longest time I was using it alone without a liquid foundation and it covered well. I now use it as sort of a matte finish and it is great for that as well. I just make sure that it's around the same shade as the liquid I am using. it goes on easy, it's lightweight and doesn't clump like some other loose powders I have used. I would really recommend this brand to anyone.
This loose powder is great as a final step of makeup for minimizing shine. It goes on very sheer so it is not recommended for those looking for medium-heavy coverage. The powder goes on very smooth, and appears lighter than you'd expect. I'd recommend buying a shade darker than your skin.
This is a great light powder to give your face a polished look, that is so natural. It is not for heavy coverage, but can work nicely over liquid foundation. And they offer such a range of colours that most people will find a match for their skin tone. Plus, the Body Shop employees are so helpful and will find a colour match for you. It does not irritate my skin which can be quite oily and prone to break outs in the summer.
I received this product to review from The Body Shop and I was super happy to get it because I've never used a mineral powder before.
I've also never been a big fan of loose powders but this one I've taken a liking too. You just need to be careful with it- try not to spill and remember not to blow on it like I did one morning. (Bad move- powder was everywhere) Once you get the hang of it, it is easy to use. It's best used with a big make up brush as well.
It promises to be lightweight and it definitely is- this is my favourite feature. Gives a nice finish, fairly good coverage and sets my make up without the cakey look.
A good buy at $25.00- less than a Sephora brand but better than a drugstore brand.
